Remember to have the babY's eyes checked because retinopathy of prematurity is another complication that occurs as a result of the oxygen therapy that we give to these babies..

100% oxygen can both help the baby but paradoxically predispose to retinopathy of prematurity .

Today we celebrate and support babies born after age of viability but before it's term(28wks -36wks 6days in zambia)...we continue to support their growth from the machine,(incubator) later attach them to skin of parents (like a kangaroo) then to nesting them in a tiny bed mimicking a uterus ...

They come with different complications and health provider have solutions to most of the complications .However it still ranks highest in contributing to neonatal deaths in zambia

Today we celebrate the babies and the healther providers,,,we love u all.
