Our Story

Marie Stopes Zambia (MSZ) is part of the Marie Stopes International (MSI) Global Health Partnership which operates in 37 countries worldwide. Marie Stopes Zambia is a locally registered non-government organisation that has been delivering high quality voluntary sexual and reproductive healthcare services to thousands of under-served women in Zambia since 2007. Since its establishment, the organisation has become one of the leading private, non-profit Family Planning organisations in the country.

Marie Stopes Zambia offers a full range of family planning services in the country. Despite recent improvements in the modern contraceptive prevalence rate in Zambia, there is still a discrepancy in meeting the needs of the population with a current unmet need for family planning services at 21%.

The organisation currently operates seven (7) mobile outreach clinics, three(3) Divine Diva Centers that provide contraceptive services and counselling to young women, four (4) MS Ladies that provide contraceptive services by following where the client is and one (1) Family Health Center offering a variety of sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services at a competitive fee.
