This week, the Meade family and some of their closest friends gathered around the table to stuff and mail the TTF annual newsletter.
It wasn’t fancy—just good conversation, shared laughs, and a lot of envelopes—but it was full of heart. Moments like these remind us that TTF is truly a grassroots organization, built on family, Friendship , and a shared passion for making a difference.

Our social team was so excited to get their certificates having completed an empowering Five-day Mental Health Training facilitated by Thandiwe Martha Tembo, Head of Clinical Care at Chainama Hills College Hospital. Her guidance and expertise helped deepen our understanding of key mental health areas impacting our communities.
Participants were provided with valuable insights into the bio-psychosocial model, mental health disorders, vulnerable populations, and the unique needs of adolescents and young adults. The training also explored the correlation between mental illness and HIV, as well as key topics such as anxiety disorders, substance abuse, work–life balance, and self-care.
This training has strengthened our commitment to providing better care, awareness, and support to the communities we serve.

World AIDS Day 2025 - Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response.

Globally over 1.5milliion children aged between 0-14 are living with HIV with only than 57% ON TREATEMENT. Unfortunately, the disrupt in global HIV related programs has played a role in the already increasing high rate of infection among adolescents particularly girls and despite major progress there is a vital need to reduce vertical transmission to meet the global target of under 5%.
A few months ago 1year old Angel Banda tested positive for HIV.
At the time the child was highly malnourished and had to be hospitalized for weeks before she could be stable. She was put on our nutritional support program and immediately put on antiretroviral treatment.

Angel is one of the lucky ones who have able to access quick effective treatment and care. However, millions of children do not get to access prompt action when it comes to peadriatric HIV management.

This World AIDs Day let us be reminded why we must overcome the disrupt and forge ahead.
Together, we can end stigma. Together, we can end AIDS.

World AIDS Days

Tiny Tim and Friends proudly joined the rest of Zambia in commemorating World AIDS Day on December 1, 2025, at Kuku Grounds in Lusaka.
The event was officiated by the Minister of Health, Dr. Elijah Muchima, under this year’s inspiring theme: “Overcoming Disruption, Transforming the AIDS Response.”
As the funding landscape continues to shift, Tiny Tim and Friends remains committed to adapting and staying true to our mission—serving children, adolescents, and pregnant women living with HIV.
During the event, our team provided on-site essential health services, including HIV testing, PrEP enrollment, BP checks, and weight assessments.
A special shout-out goes to Eric, who led the coordination of the day’s activities and ensured that our staff and volunteers had a wonderful and impactful experience.

His legacy lives on in every child we serve. We will honor him by continuing his life's work with the same love and dedication he showed every day.

Meet Naomi, who became a TTF client in 2020 during a community outreach in Garden Compound. Initially hesitant to start HIV treatment due to prevailing misconceptions about healthcare facilities, Naomi eventually decided to take action after feeling unwell. To her surprise, at TTF Clinic, she received comprehensive services within an hour, a stark contrast to the extended waiting times she had anticipated.

Naomi's positive experience at TTF made it easier for her to accept her HIV status. The clinic's supportive environment, understanding medical staff, and effective counseling played a crucial role. Beyond clinical care, TTF goes the extra mile by reminding Naomi about her appointments and even delivering medications to her home when she's busy with school.

Recognizing the importance of holistic support, Naomi has been enrolled in TTF's special support groups for adolescents. These groups aim to enhance her understanding of her condition and provide valuable insights into reproductive and mental health.

His heart for children, families, and communities continues to be the foundation of everything we do at Tiny Tim & Friends. This morning, our team paused for a moment of silence in his honor, reflecting on the impact of his life and vision. Though he is no longer with us, his vision and passion lives on through the lives being transformed each day. We honor his memory with gratitude and remain committed to carrying forward his legacy of hope, love, and service. 💙💔
