World Diabetes Day was a Success!

We're thrilled to share the highlights of our recent Diabetes Awareness activities, aimed at promoting a healthier community.

As part of our efforts to spread awareness and understanding of diabetes, we organized a range of engaging events and media outreach:

- Diabetes Awareness Talk: We invited teachers from various schools in Ndola to an informative session, empowering them with knowledge to support their students and communities.
- Radio and TV Programs: Our experts participated in discussions on local radio and TV stations, reaching a wider audience with crucial information on diabetes prevention, management, and the importance of early detection.
- Food Camp: Our team shared insights on healthy eating habits and tasty recipes that can make a difference.
- Aerobics Session: We got active and encouraged others to do the same, highlighting the importance of physical activity in diabetes prevention and management.
- Office Exercises: Our workplace joined in, promoting the theme of healthy living.

A huge thank you to all the teachers, participants, media partners, and our dedicated team for making these events a success. Together, we can make a difference.

Let's continue to spread awareness and work towards a healthier future for all.

TODAY ON LUNA TODAY
This World Diabetes Day, LUNA TODAY with Steve So Sick is dedicated to breaking down barriers and providing essential knowledge about diabetes management in both the Workplace and the School Environment.

We are privileged to host a powerful panel from ADCH:

Dr. Mark Phiri (Pediatrician)

Kangwa Mumbi (Registered Critical Care Nurse)

Kelvin Katongo (Nutritionist)

Learn why early diagnosis saves lives, the importance of workplace support (snack breaks and flexibility!), and how local foods can be used for effective blood sugar control.

Happy to share an incredible awareness talk held with teachers from Ndola District!
We discussed a crucial topic: Diabetes in Children - Going to School with Confidence!

This year's World Diabetes Day theme is "Diabetes and Well-being". We're working towards creating a supportive environment for children with diabetes in schools.

Big shoutout to the amazing teachers who showed enthusiasm and commitment to supporting students with diabetes. Together, we can make a difference!

Let's break the stigma and build a healthier future for our kids!
