Traditional Leaders are the key gate keepers in all our communities and as such, their voice and inclusion ensures meaning and brings purpose in our actions. They play a critical role in shaping community norms, resolving disputes, and protecting vulnerable groups. An initiative lead by the, "For 4 Girls Focus Trust" in Zvishavane and supported by the Chief and Amai Masunda brought together 240 males and 60 female traditional leaders all under him at their home stead. The purpose of the training was to strengthen the capacity of traditional leaders to prevent, to respond to, and address Gender Based Violence (GBV) within our communities. The engagement was supported by other partners and departments including, The Regional Magistrate, The Prosecuting Authority, District Heads' from Prisons, Zimbabwe Republic Police, Registrar Generals Office, Social Services, Victim Friendly Unit and the MoHCC. Gratitude to our Family Planning Champion, Mecury Chanetsa and Community Based Distributor Supervisor Tarisai Teveraishe for being visible through collaborating exceptionally well with Mrs Majoni from the "For 4 Girls Trust". Keep on raising our flag high as we keep shinning.
