Today, the 27th of January 2026, newly recruited CBDs and CBD Supervisors received mentorship from the seasoned CBD Supervisors Mr. Muzvondiwa and Mr. Chavhura of Shurugwi and Chirumhanzu respectively. The mentors emphasized the importance of recording one's work and took the participants through the CBD Record Book, Monthly Return Forms, Work Schedule and Stock management, among other critical issues.

Incorporating participatory methodologies in training workshops not only enhances learning and engagement but also fosters a collaborative environment that also respects diversity of participants, leading to more effective and impactful learning outcomes. Today the 20th of January 2026, ZNFPC Midlands kick started outreach services as part of the Interagency Collaboration efforts LSA 2025/26 facilitated by WFP and UNFPA where ZNFPC will be providing Sexual Reproductive Health services at selected food distribution sites in Mberengwa district. Today the team is at Zvomukonde Business Centre.

The Community Based distribution Programme (CBD) is pivotal in expanding access to family planning services in under-served and rural communities. ZNFPC Midlands is currently conducting CBD training for newly recruited CBDs from Zvishavane, Chirumhanzu, Gokwe North, Shurugwi and Gweru districts, thereby contributing to the achievement of FP2030 goals to improve the health and well-being of women and families in the province and country at large.

ZNFPC Midlands held its End of Year and Christmas Party at the Leisure Centre today the 18th of December 2025 as we celebrated the accomplishments of the year together with food, fun and team building games.

This week, Zimbabwe National Family Planning Council (ZNFPC) Midlands in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Child Care with support from UNFPA and Population Services Zimbabwe conducted quality assurance for the family planning and sexual reproductive health program in selected facilities in Zvishavane, Chirumhanzu and Gweru districts.

ZNFPC attended and exhibited at the Provincial World AIDS Day (WAD) commemoration at Gwenungu Primary School, Gokwe South on the 11th of December 2025. This year's provincial event ran under the theme "Overcoming disruptions, Transforming the AIDS response."

This week, ZNFPC Midlands and the MoHCC successfully completed the Sayana Press self-care sensitization across the remaining 5 districts of Mberengwa, Zvishavane, Shurugwi, Chirumhanzu and Gweru. Through our collaborative efforts, we managed to come up with key actionable recommendations to ensure full roll-out of the self-care option across all the districts, empowering our communities to take charge of their health.
