Persons with Disabilities

We join other nations, organizations, and individuals in commemorating International World Disability Day. This year's theme is Leadership and participation of persons with disabilities toward an inclusive, accessible, and sustainable post-COVID 19 world'.

We advocate that persons with disabilities must be included in every sector and that everybody must have the same opportunities to participate in every aspect of life to the best of their abilities and desires.

Obedience lives in Budiriro, Harare. He has a stroke on the left side of his body. Despite his disability, Obedience is a sharp and vibrant young man who is eager to learn new things. Two years ago, he was taught to make and sell candles, but his business went down due to the Covid 19 pandemic. An anonymous donor reached out to Zion's Camp Trust and donated funds, enabling Obedience to buy the raw materials he needed to resume his business. He is currently contributing to his family's needs through his business.

It makes a difference to address someone by the right terms. As big a difference that is made when sharing a smile with a stranger or greeting in acknowledgment of a person sharing a space with you in that moment. Addressing a person correctly not only prevents offence but also shows respect. It doesn’t take a lot of energy so just do it

We are so grateful for the donation of Nappies that will be allocated to children with disabilities particularly those with cerebral palsy and Autism. It's so important to us that these kids can stay clean and healthy, so we need more help to get more nappies for these kids.

For those who would like to donate towards nappies, please message Zion's Camp Trust. Together we can help make a better life for these children!
