In a colorful celebration of love, health, and community pride, members of the Zimbabwe Rainbow Community gathered alongside activists and supporters at this year’s International Condom Celebrations hosted by GALZ Zimbabwe.
The event, held in Harare, brought together advocates from across Zimbabwe to promote safer s*x awareness, reduce stigma, and celebrate the role of protection in building healthier communities. With music, dance, educational workshops, and free condom distribution, the day blended festivity with purpose.
Representatives from Zimbabwe Rainbow Community described the celebration as both empowering and necessary. “Condoms are more than just protection they represent choice, safety, and dignity,” one attendee shared. “Being here reminds us that s*xual health conversations can be open, positive, and even joyful.”
Organizers emphasized that while progress has been made in raising awareness about s*xual health, community-led initiatives remain essential. By combining education with celebration, they hope to normalize conversations around condoms and empower people to make informed decisions.
As the music wound down and participants exchanged hugs and contact details, the message of the day lingered protection is power, and community makes it stronger.
