Voices were heard in Kuwadzana 1 where Musasa conducted a Community Dialogue. At the Community Hall, residents spoke openly about the reality of GBV , its causes, its impact and the solutions they believe can restore safety. Drug and substance abuse were identified as major drivers, alongside concerns about accountability when perpetrators hold influence.
The community called for real change: recreational facilities for youths, skills training in carpentry and joinery, peanut butter production and ISALS to create income and reduce crime.
When communities diagnose the problem and demand solutions, that’s where transformation begins.
The dialogue was supported by the Ministry of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Dev., the City of Harare, the Ministry of Health and Child Care and the Zimbabwe Republic Police - ZRP’s Victim Friendly Unit
