Hello my name is Yeukai. In January 2024 I was diagnosed with cervical cancer stage 2B. I was shattered and my world went upside down.
I went through chemotherapy ,radiotherapy and brachytherapy. Cancer treatment is so aggressive, my hair fell off. I lost weight & I got so cheeky to my caregivers, (God bless them ). The side effects were so terrible that I felt like giving up. Early detection and medication saved my life. My mind is still fighting, I still go to the hospital for check up. To all those fighting now, please know that you will not die but live to proclaim the goodness of the Lord. A big shout out to all the oncology health professionals in the world. May you all be blessed.

How cancer turned my life upside down!
2022 I felt a lump in my breast but didn’t think anything of it since my sister had also had a lump before and tests revealed that it was not cancerous! Dad was not well at the time so with all the medical bills, my issue was not a priority as there was no pain, no discharge.
After dad passed away in August 2022 I decided to go and have the lump checked and lo and behold it was cancer. But how? But why? I had no other choice but to accept my fate. I started chemo and by the 3rd cycle the lump had disappeared. Went for mastectomy after the 4th cycle then continued the last 4 cycles after. 26 Sessions of radiotherapy and the continued treatment thereafter.
Cancer drains physically, emotionally, financially and spiritually. Outward appearances are deceiving as no one really knows or understands what you are going through.
Without a strong support system and a positive mind, you are most likely to deteriorate rapidly.
