Making a Difference at Chisuma Primary School — in Partnership with the Jafuta Foundation 👓
Last week, we were pleased to complete a journey that began in March with eye screenings by Eyepod and the Jafuta Foundation. Our Victoria Falls Eyepod optometrist, Gracious, proudly handed over spectacles to the learners of Chisuma Primary School.

Thanks to the support of Pamozi Trust and JCI, these children can now see the world with renewed clarity and confidence.

Shining a Light on EyePod Victoria Falls 👓🌍
We’re incredibly proud of the amazing work being done by our Eyepod Victoria Falls team !

They joined forces with Pamozi, Unhambi, Children’s Fountain of Hope, Dress a Child, and JCI to screen over 150 children at Mosi Oa Tunya School, some of whom had reported difficulties with their eyesight. Thanks to this heartfelt outreach, many of these young learners will soon receive Pamozi Spectacles and see the world with renewed clarity.

Well done to the EyePod Vic Falls team and all our community partners for making vision care accessible where it matters most.

The Eye Institute, in partnership with Mutual Zimbabwe, proudly celebrated the return of the Old Mutual Eye Camp to its birthplace in Manicaland, where it all began in 2024. 💚

It was a pleasure to have the Honourable Minister of State for Manicaland Province, Advocate Misheck Mugadza, join us to mark the return of the Eye Camp — a partnership bringing life-changing impact to communities across Zimbabwe. We were also joined by Mr. Ekem Mudavanhu, Group Head of Customer Experience at Old Mutual Zimbabwe, whose support and leadership continue to make this initiative possible

During the pilot year in 2024, 100 cataract surgeries were successfully performed. In 2025, the programme has expanded to three provinces, Manicaland, Harare, and the Midlands — with a target of 300 surgeries, continuing our mission to restore sight and hope nationwide.
