Greetings from Florence, Italy 🇮🇹

Dr Ron Mhizha and team recently attended the 3rd World Keratoconus Congress, hosted by The International Keratoconus Society from 16–18 April.

The congress provided a valuable platform to engage with the latest advancements in keratoconus and corneal care, while connecting with a global community dedicated to improving patient outcomes. With over 900 attendees, the energy, insights, and shared commitment to progress were evident throughout.

We are proud to bring these global insights back home as we continue to enhance the care we provide to our patients.

Safe driving starts with the small habits we often overlook, especially during busy holiday travel.

As you travel this Easter, here are 3 practical road safety tips to protect your vision and stay alert:

1️⃣ Keep your windscreen and mirrors clean to avoid glare and visual distortion
2️⃣ Avoid night driving if you struggle with glare or poor visibility
3️⃣ Take breaks on long drives to rest your eyes and stay focused

Good vision supports better reaction time and safer decisions on the road.

We’re taking a short Easter break. Closing Thursday at 1 PM and back Tuesday at 8 AM. Enjoy the holiday and stay safe.

Remember learning the sequence of traffic lights when preparing for your provisional driver’s license?

The order is not random. Traffic lights are designed with a fixed position so that drivers with Color Blindness, particularly red–green colour deficiencies, can rely on the position of the light rather than its colour.

This simple design helps ensure that everyone on the road can interpret traffic signals safely, regardless of how they see colour.
