Today, we join Zimbabwe in commemorating Unity Day, a moment to reflect on where we’ve come from and the future we still have to build together.
Today we honor the past and recommit to building a future where human rights aren’t optional, and civic voices aren’t treated as threats.

But true unity lives in a country where people can speak freely, organize without fear, and participate fully in shaping their communities.

Unity isn’t silence.
Unity is accountability.
Unity is protecting the freedoms that allow us to question, imagine, and create a better Zimbabwe.

A united Zimbabwe is a free Zimbabwe. ✊🏾

Launching AfricLegal and Fahamu Haki Zako wasn’t just another project. It was a statement: that African creativity, tech, and civic power can merge into something brave, disruptive, and impossible to ignore.

This reminded us why we exists in this space; to shake things up, flip the script, and build tools that put real power where it belongs.

We are stepping into December with more wins. We just scooped the 1st Runner Up for the Outstanding Reporting Award at the 13th NANGO Annual NGO awards. This is a great moment for the team.

If creativity had a hometown, it would definitely be Magamba.
And at the Amnesty International Zimbabwe Media Awards we proved it. Our crew didn’t just collect awards, they painted the night with pure talent and storytelling magic.

our Associate Producer, and digital wizard snatched the Best Digital Creativity Award
Lynnette Manzini the sharp, fearless voice of grabbed 1st Runner Up in Digital Creativity and took home the Best Broadcast Feature Award. Two awards, one legend. She communicates with precision and vibes.
Takudzwa Musakasa our studio intern earned a Special Mention Award in Broadcast Feature. A young king stepping into his era.

Magamba didn’t just attend the ceremony, we redefined the room.
This is what happens when young creators push boundaries, break rules, and tell the truth with style. Creativity is not just what we do. It’s who we are.
