DeltaGuard 50WP
Composition : Deltamethrin (Pyrethroid) 5.15 %

A wettable powder formulation in a water soluble satchet containing Deltamethrin, a residual con- tact Pyrethroid for the control of malaria causing mosquitoes.

Directions For Use:

• For residual indoor application against malaria vector mosquitoes.

• Dilution: Prior to dilution of insecticide, measure the volume of spray required to achieve point of run– off. This will vary with the nature of the surface to be sprayed. For example to achieve a target deposit of 20mg / square metre active ingredient on:

• Porous surfaces (mud, daub) : Dilute 80g (one satchet) Deltaguard 50 WP to 10 litres of water and apply to 200 square metres.

• Non– Porous surfaces (PVA painted cement) : Dilute 80g (one satchet) Deltaguard 50WP to 5 litres of water and apply to 200 square metres.

• Mixing: (water soluble satchet) Cut open the paper satchet and remove the water soluble
satchet without tearing it.

• Place the water soluble satchet into the spray can with the correct amount of water. Close and shake well before use.
Application: Apply using conventional compression sprayers fitted with a flat fan nozzle. Ensure a thorough mixture of chemical and water before spraying\.

• Apply Deltaguard 50WP to all inside walls and ceilings of houses, outer buildings such as
animal shelters.

• For good control, all houses in the area should be treated.

• Spraying activity should be completed just prior to seasonal transmission of malaria.

• Precautions: Wear protective clothing when handling the powder or diluted spray mixture.

• Wear face shield when applying diluted washes to the surfaces or when working in spray mist.

• Avoid skin contact and wash splashes from skin and eyes immediately with clean water.
