To all our valued clients,
In light of the current outbreak of COVID-19 and the emergence of more cases in Zimbabwe, we have had to review our methods of operating in order to prioritize the health and safety of our clients and staff. The following protocols have been introduced, and will be continually reviewed as the situation and governing bodies dictate.
Our operating hours will now be 8am-1pm Monday to Friday, and 8am-11am on Saturday’s.
We kindly request that appointments are made before coming in. This is to reduce the number of people in contact at any one time. If a client arrives without prior appointment, they will be required to remain outside the main building until the waiting area has been cleared.
You will be asked for a full history over the phone when booking your appointment. The waiting room is closed - patients will be admitted and discharged via a quick drop off at the front desk or directly from vehicles. If you would like to fill a prescription or purchase dog food or supplements, kindly call ahead so that we can have it prepared for you and it can be brought out to you.
For any clients concerned about possible transmission to others following recent travel or showing signs of illness please specify this when booking your appointment so that further precautionary measures can be taken on your arrival. While we strongly encourage self-isolation in such cases, your pet’s health is our primary concern and we will not turn away sick patients.
All clients are requested to sanitize on arrival – hand sanitizer will be provided as you walk in to the reception area. The card machine will be sanitized before and after each use, and signatures will not be required from regular clients.
No house calls will be done for the next two months – please understand that the veterinarian and nurse’s health is potentially put at risk when entering an unknown property.
We encourage everyone to follow WHO recommendations regarding the outbreak and we stand united in the face of uncertainty.
We hope that the changes in our operations show you how seriously we are taking the current situation, and we will continue to keep you updated on any changes.
Kind Regards,
Dr Petros Lufeli
