TODAY 13 NOVEMBER IS "WORLD KINDNESS DAY"

Why Does Kindness Matter?
Kindness is more than a nice gesture it is fundamental to happiness, strong relationships, and healthy communities. Research indicates that regular acts of kindness:

*Boost well-being and reduce stress for both the giver and receiver.
*Strengthen empathy, trust, and social connections.
*Encourage positivity and reduce negative behaviours and conflicts.
-In schools and youth groups, embracing kindness can boost morale, academic performance, and a sense of belonging among students. On World Kindness Day, everyone is called to join in and create a ripple effect of happiness

26 Oct - 2 Nov
IS BRAIN TUMOR AWARENESS WEEK

There are over 100 different tumor types recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) Classification of Tumors of the Central Nervous System (CNS).

To diagnose brain and other CNS tumors, specialists consider the appearance of the tumor tissue under a microscope, how active the tumor tissue is, and its unique molecular features through biomarker testing. Knowing one’s diagnosis helps individuals living with brain tumors, their care partners, and their health care teams predict its behavior, identify available treatment options, and identify potential eligibility in clinical trials.

World Mental Health Day, 10 October 2025
*Mental health in humanitarian emergencies*

World Mental Health Day serves as a powerful reminder that there is no health without mental health. This year’s campaign focuses on the urgent need to support the mental health and psychosocial needs of people affected by humanitarian emergencies.

Crises such as natural disasters, conflicts, and public health emergencies cause emotional distress, with one in five individuals experiencing a mental health condition. Supporting the mental well-being of individuals during such crises is not just important – it saves lives, gives people the strength to cope, the space to heal and to recover and rebuild not only as individuals but as communities. That’s why it is essential for everyone, including government officials, health and social care providers, school staff and community groups to come together.
