is a global day to celebrate women, and a rallying call for everyone to do their part to accelerate gender equality. But is only possible if women have reproductive choices — contraception. Today, I’m joining Population Services Zimbabwe in celebrating the brave healthcare providers and advocates who fight to advance gender equality every single day.

Sunday The 8th of March 2026 its International Women's Day. This Year the theme is "Rights.Justice.Action For All Women and Girls. Population Services Zimbabwe is using the moment to highlight the link between women's rights and reproductive rights. When a woman has reproductive choices, she has agency over her body and power over her future. She can choose to finish her education, protect her health, persue a career and drive positive change in her community. These benefits transform lives and pave way to a more gender equal world.
