Hand, Foot & Mouth Disease cases are rising across Harare, with many young children affected.

(HFMD) It is a very contagious illness caused by a virus. The disease gets its name from the blister-like rash that forms on your child’s hands and feet, as well as the painful sores that develop in their mouth. The rash can appear anywhere on the body, including the chest, back, arms, legs, ge****ls, and buttocks.

About Us

EMF was established in 1948 as a Private Industrial Medical Fund to provide medical aid cover to employees in the engineering industry. However, in 2002, the Fund was transformed into a fully-fledged medical aid society which opened up to the public. The name changed from Engineering Medical Fund to EMF Medical Aid Society and the society started focusing on recruiting voluntary members.

Currently, the Society has got offices in Harare, Bulawayo and Kwekwe, EMF Medical Aid Society has four (4) schemes namely PRIMARY AID SCHEME, PRIVATE (COMPULSORY) SCHEME, ALPHAMED SCHEME AND SUPERMED SCHEME.
