Today, we would like to highlight Ms. Kathleen Dominguez for her compassion and care to patients as a patient care assistant. Ms. Dominguez has been with us since 2014 as a cook and transition to a PCA in 2016, showing us that there is always room for growth at the hospital. She is an excellent example of a model employee. She always gets the job done in a timely manner and works with little supervision. Ms. Dominguez takes pride in what she does, and we appreciate her for that.

Today, we are highlighting a very important woman, Ms. Corette Flores. She is a dedicated pharmacist for over 20 years. Her hard work, endless knowledge, and compassion do not go unnoticed. Every day, she goes above and beyond to ensure the health and well-being of those who rely on her. As a senior pharmacist she ensure the facility is properly stock with much needed medication, supplies and collaborates with other health members of the facilities for the best patient care.Whether it’s providing expert advice, ensuring medications are dispensed with care, or offering a reassuring smile, her commitment makes a difference in countless lives.

Today, we also would like to highlight an amazing woman, Jerlene Neal, who has been working in the kitchen department as a cook at Western Regional Hospital for the past 6 years. She is a hard-working individual very dedicated to her job in the kitchen, always ensuring that her department keeps up to the mission of the hospital, providing adequate food service to the patients coming into the hospital. Her cooking experience has really played a vital part in the day to day activities in the kitchen. She always strives to do her best and always go above and beyond to satisfy the daily needs of our patients.

Today, we want to highlight and recognize the women from the Mental Health Department for the Western Region - made up of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, psychotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, and psychiatrists Mental health is an important part of our overall well-being & these women strive to hold a safe place for their clients to feel heard and understood. The Western Region Mental Health team was awarded the Resilience Award in 2024, which shows their strength to work as a team! Although the entire team is not included in this picture, we want to thank you for all the hard work and dedication.
