At Xcel we have TEN private treatment rooms for physiotherapy and massage therapy clientele.

No curtains here!

Each room is equipped with a professional mechanical bed for ease of access and quick, easy height adjustments. They also have dimmable lighting for those with light sensitivity conditions!

Did you know that in Canada, physiotherapy is a regulated profession and that “physiotherapist”, “PT”, and “physiotherapist assistant” are protected terms?

This means that only registered physiotherapists are eligible to use the terms “physiotherapist”, “physical therapist” and the professional designation of “PT”. In order to work as a physiotherapist, you have to go through the necessary steps to be licensed. This includes successful completion of an accredited physiotherapy program at a university. Physiotherapists are held to strict regulatory standards by their governing body.

The use of the licensure designation of “PT” by licensed physiotherapists only is to ensure public protection; these specific initials demonstrate to the patient that the person is licensed by their province and has the appropriate training and education.

It is important when seeking treatment to be confident in the background and training of your practitioner and know that they are using evidence-informed treatment methods to help you achieve your goals.
