In February, Royal Blue wasn’t just a stylish choice for braces—it was a way to give back! Through our Colour of the Month event, we donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters for every patient who picked Royal Blue for their braces in Carleton Place and Arnprior.

This sweet patient’s smile transformation was completed with a 2-phase orthodontic treatment:

🔹 Phase 1: We used an expander appliance to correct her narrow upper jaw and create more space for her blocked-out adult teeth
🔹 Phase 2: Once her adult teeth came in, we completed a quick 15-month course of braces to improve her alignment, overbite, and bite symmetry

By addressing her jaw development early with an appliance, we were able to make her later treatment much simpler, quicker, and more effective. Now, she’s all set with a beautifully aligned smile and a healthy, balanced bite! 😁

This case is a perfect example of how early orthodontic intervention can set the stage for easier and more successful treatment later. That’s why we recommend bringing your child in for an orthodontic consultation around age 7. It’s quick, easy, and no referral is needed!

🔹 An open bite of the front teeth, making it difficult to bite into foods
🔹 Crowding of both the upper and lower teeth

In just 16 months—and without the need for surgery—our skilled orthodontists applied their clear aligner (Invisalign) design expertise to:

🔹 Multiple crossbites of her front teeth, affecting her bite and gum health
🔹 Asymmetric dental midlines that didn’t align with her face (see arrows)
🔹 Crowding of both the upper and lower teeth, making it difficult to maintain good oral hygiene

With a personalized treatment plan involving braces, elastics, and strategic dental extractions, we were able to:
✅ Correct the crossbites to improve both function and aesthetics
✅ Align her dental midlines with her facial features for a more balanced, symmetrical smile
✅ Create space to properly align her teeth, making it easier to keep them clean and healthy
