After graduating from MaKami College’s Massage Therapy program, Julian has built his own massage therapy business, and in 2024, he graduated from MaKami’s Personal Trainer program. The program was a natural fit for Julian because he already practiced a healthy lifestyle and thinks it’s a way to live longer.

“Our body is a machine. How we treat our body is how our body will treat us in return,” he says. The flexible online and in-person program made balancing his business and college possible.

Today, Julian has his Manual Therapy Technicians of Canada umbrella company, which includes Energy Resurgence Clinic and Corporate Clinics. Two other brands in development include spa group events and fitness challenges.

MaKami College is proud to announce that its President & CEO, Marija Pavkovic Tovissi, was honoured this morning with the prestigious King Charles II Coronation Medal, recognizing her exceptional contributions to the community, province and country.

“I am deeply honoured to receive this recognition alongside so many remarkable individuals who have made lasting impacts in their communities,’ said Pavkovic-Tovissi.

Today’s award adds to the President’s impressive list of recognitions. In 2023, she was also awarded the Alberta Newcomer Recognition Award and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, underscoring her ongoing commitment to public service and community development.
