How I Managed My Glutathione Levels with Food and Supplementation 🌿✨

I’ve always understood how important glutathione is for overall health.

It’s the body’s master antioxidant, It helps to detoxify, protect cells, and support the immune system.

Naturally, I wanted to make sure my levels stayed strong. So, I focused on adding glutathione-rich foods like asparagus, avocados, and walnuts into my diet.

But no matter how healthy I ate, I noticed it just wasn’t enough. 😕 Our bodies naturally produce glutathione daily, while even the best diet only provides about 150 ml

That only a fraction of what we need! On top of that, glutathione levels naturally decrease as we age, making it even more challenging to maintain those critical levels.

What I also learned is that everyday factors deplete glutathione even faster:
👉 Exposure to toxins like pollution and chemicals
👉 Stress, poor diet, and lack of sleep
👉 Medications like acetaminophen (Tylenol)
👉 Smoking, alcohol, and environmental pollutants

All of this causes oxidative damage that uses up glutathione faster than our bodies can produce it.

That’s why I turned to supplementation. Adding Neumi Swish to my routine has been a game-changer.

My energy improved, and I knew I was giving my body the extra support it needed to detoxify and fight off daily stressors.

Sometimes, food alone just can’t cut it—and that’s okay. Managing my glutathione levels through supplementation has helped me feel more balanced and energized.

Have you noticed how aging or stress affects your body’s detox and immune function?

HOW CUTTING BACK ON PROCESSED FOODS CHANGED THE GAME FOREVER! 🍔

As I worked on improving my gut health, I noticed that processed foods were making my digestion worse.

They often left me feeling bloated and sluggish, so I knew it was time to make a change. Have you had a similar experience?

Processed foods plays havoc with the balance of good bacteria in my gut, so that I am not able to digest properly as well it causes inflammation in my gut.

Here’s why I cut back on processed foods:

Added sugars, unhealthy fats, and preservatives in processed foods can feed harmful bacteria in the gut, throwing off the balance of good bacteria that supports digestion.

Low fiber content in processed foods meant my digestion wasn’t getting the help it needed, making it harder for my gut to function well.

Artificial ingredients can irritate the digestive system and contribute to bloating, discomfort, and inflammation.

How I did it:

⚡️Gradual Swaps:
I didn’t cut out everything at once — I made small swaps. For example, I replaced sugary cereals with oats, chips with veggie sticks, and processed snacks with fresh fruit or nuts. This made the transition easier and sustainable.

⚡️Cooked More at Home:
Cooking at home allowed me to control the ingredients I used. I started preparing simple meals with whole foods like fresh vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains. Homemade meals are satisfying and nourishing.

⚡️Focused on Whole, Natural Foods:
I focused on whole foods like fruits, vegetables, lean proteins (like chicken or fish), and whole grains (like quinoa and brown rice). These swaps are naturally rich in nutrients and fiber, and they make my digestion smoother.

⚡️Checked Labels:
When I did buy packaged items, I read the ingredient labels. I looked for options with fewer, whole ingredients and avoided those with lots of added sugars, unhealthy fats, and artificial additives.
My rule of thumb is "If I can't pronounce the ingredient then I don't need it in my gut.

Making these changes has made a huge difference in how I now feel. My digestion has improved, and I feel more energized throughout the day.

Cutting back on processed foods was one of the best decisions I made for my gut health.

Have you made the switch to whole foods? Let me know how it’s going for you in the comments! 😊

How I Managed Stress for Better Gut Health 😰
After focusing on adding fiber and fermented foods to improve my digestion, I realized stress was also affecting my gut.

Stress disrupted the balance of bacteria in my gut, I knew I needed to learn ways to manage stress for overall health.

Here are some strategies that worked for me:
1. I Practice Mindfulness and Meditation
⚡️What I did: I set aside 10-15 minutes each day for mindfulness or meditation. It helped calm my mind and body, reduce stress and supported my gut.
⚡️How to Start: Use an app or find a quiet spot to practice deep breathing. I also explored bible reading and meditated on what I read. Even a few minutes can make a difference.

2. I Moved My Body
⚡️What I did: I started taking walks and listened to soft music as I walked.
I took a deep dive into how exercise can reduce stress and give me a healthier gut.
⚡️How to start: I started with simple activities like walking and getting into the habit of stretching if I was sitting at my desk or sitting anywhere for too long.

3. I made getting enough sleep a Priority
⚡️What I did: I focused on getting 7-8 hours of quality sleep each night.
I know from experience that getting enough sleep helps me reduce stress and helped to heal my gut.
⚡️Habits I put in place: I created a relaxing bedtime routine. I tried not to look at screens an hour before bed. (Not always easy I know) I also listened to my favourite calming music.

4. How I used Deep Breathing exercises
⚡️What I did: Whenever I felt overwhelmed, I used deep breathing techniques to calm myself down. This helped regulate my stress response, which helped my gut.
⚡️How I did this: I took slow, deep breaths — inhaling for 4 counts, holding for 4, and exhaling for 4. I repeated this a few times to ease tension. Which allows me to be calmer.

5. I took time for Me:
⚡️What I did: I make sure to take time for hobbies and activities I enjoy. Whether it’s reading, crafting, or spending time in nature, doing things that bring me joy helped lower my stress levels.
⚡️How I started: I schedule time in my week for activities that relax and recharge me.

By managing my stress, I noticed fewer digestive issues and a greater sense of well-being.
Gut health is about more than just what I eat — it’s also about how I feel.

Do you have any favorite ways to manage stress? Let me know! 😊
Tomorrow we will explore how I cut back on Processed foods for better gut health!

After boosting my fiber intake to support my digestion, the next step I took for a healthier gut was incorporating fermented foods.

These foods are loaded with probiotics — the good bacteria that help balance digestion and support gut health.

Here’s how I added fermented foods to my routine:

Kefir Smoothies for Breakfast
I started blending kefir with berries and spinach for a quick, gut-friendly smoothie. It’s an easy way to start the day with probiotics!

Kimchi & Sauerkraut on My Salads 🥗
I found that adding a scoop of kimchi or sauerkraut to salads gave them a delicious kick while introducing beneficial bacteria to my gut.

Plain Greek Yogurt as a Snack
Instead of reaching for sugary snacks, I swapped them for plain Greek yogurt topped with fresh fruit and nuts. It’s a simple, tasty way to enjoy probiotics.

Fermented Veggies on the Side
I began adding fermented vegetables like pickles or kimchi as a side dish to meals. They pair well with almost anything and help with digestion.

Adding these fermented foods to my diet has helped me feel more balanced and improved my digestion even further. The best part? They’re easy to incorporate into everyday meals.

What fermented foods do you enjoy?

How I Changed My Habits for a Healthier Gut: Part 2

Yesterday, I shared how I started improving my digestion by adding more fiber to my diet.

Today, let’s talk about breakfast — the perfect opportunity to sneak in those fiber-rich foods that will keep your gut happy all day long! 🌱

Here’s what my fiber-packed breakfasts look like:

Smoothie with a twist: I add spinach, berries, and a spoonful of chia or flax seeds. A delicious way to fuel my gut!

Overnight oats: Loaded with oats, nuts, and fresh fruit, this makes a great grab-and-go option.

Avocado toast: Topped with whole grain bread, avocado, and a sprinkle of h**p seeds — simple, yet so satisfying.

The best part? These meals not only taste great, but they keep my digestion on track and my energy levels steady throughout the day. Small changes like these can lead to big results! 💪
ENJOY!

How I changed my Habits, so that I would have a healthier Gut.
I remember when I struggled with poor digestion.

At one time I did not connect what I ate to how my digestive issues were related.

I knew I had to make changes, but change is hard.
So I made small goals.

First I started eating More Fiber.
Fiber helped my digestion and fed the good bacteria in my gut.

Small things made a big difference:

How I did it:
I added more fruits, veggies, whole grains, and nuts to my diet.

For example, I would sprinkle chia seeds or ground flax seeds into my morning smoothie or on top of yogurt.

Stay tuned tomorrow I will post ideas on what breakfast could look like with more fiber.
