Our weekly programs provide Oakville moms & their babies with an opportunity to learn, laugh & connect in a meaningful way. Mommy Connections introduces you to programs and services available within your community. Our classes provide a unique learning opportunity as well as a fun way to bond with your child and other moms in a social environment. Each week’s class offers an educational portion co

mbined with an activity for mom and baby to do together. This allows for a unique bonding opportunity with your little one, while still fulfilling your need to obtain information and be social with other moms experiencing the same challenges, fears and excitement. We are excited to welcome Jodi Rouah, the founder & clinical director of to our Mom & Baby program this Spring!

““Hi, I’m Jodi. I strongly believe that healing happens through therapeutic connection, compassion, and community, which is why I am so glad to be extending our village to you. The foundation of my own clinical practice is rooted in my training as a Registered Social Worker, with over 15-years of clinical experience as a therapist and 10-years as a clinical supervisor.

After having my first child and being surrounded by a community of new moms and parents, I quickly realized the lack of support during this crucial time in a new family’s life. My journey of growth continued after having my second child, as I found my footing raising a child with a disability. I am a mom to a kiddo who is hard of hearing and has various developmental challenges. The struggle was (and still is) real, and I encountered so many stories of the early days baby blues, postpartum mental health challenges, birth trauma, mom rage and guilt, relationship distress, the invisible load of motherhood and so much more. While having a child of my own felt like a prerequisite to work with the perinatal population, it also launched me into countless hours of research and training in Perinatal Mental Health. My focus, working with parents through their reproductive journey into parenthood, including any trauma and loss endured along the way.

I know it takes a lot of courage to reach out and ask for support. No matter what you think or have been told, you are absolutely capable of feeling healthy, joyful and excited about what the future holds for you and your little(s).”

Sam is facilitating our upcoming West Oakville Mom & Baby program.

“Hey, I’m Sam! I’m a first-time mom to my daughter Mira, and I’m so excited to be back in the Mommy Connections program as a facilitator. We did the winter session recently, and it was such a great experience—learning new things, connecting with other moms, and, of course, bonding with Mira ♥️. I really looked forward to our sessions every week!

This spring, I’m excited to continue building a supportive community and making more memories with our little ones.

When I’m not momming, you’ll probably find me reading a thriller, trying out a new tiktok recipe, or squeezing in a workout. Can’t wait to meet everyone!”

A big topic in class lately has been teething and teething-related fever/discomfort.

One potential remedy is Camilia by . Camilia may help babies and toddlers 0-30 months with their teething pain / sore gums. All our Mom & Baby groups have received some samples this winter.

During the pandemic, my mother translated my grandmother’s war years journals from Polish to English. It took her a full year, writing by hand. She only told me about it a few months ago.

I’ve been slowly reading through her translated diaries.

My grandmother was in her early 20s at the time and documented everything about this time in her life, from the painful events to the extreme emotions.

I always felt a deep connection with my grandmother, as her only blood granddaughter, and although she passed when I was only 16 she imprinted her legacy on me. Reading these journals I feel closer to her than ever, like she’s here with me now in a young adult form.

There is still so much work to be done in the world. So much pain and suffering. It’s hard to remain positive with everything going on around us.

Today I remember my grandmother and both my grandfathers who served. I am holding space in my heart for everyone affected by war.

Lest we forget.

We run weekly programs for moms-to-be, moms and babies (0 to 18 months) and moms and toddlers (18 months to 4 years) in neighbourhoods across Oakville.

Our classes are fun, welcoming and packed with value. Each one includes an informative discussion led by a local parenting expert and/or a fun activity for you and babe as well as the opportunity to socialize with others at the same stage as you.
