FYI - for any patients using Cromolyn this allergy season, the drops have been recalled by Health Canada

Health Canada is recalling a brand of eye drops, saying use of the product may cause microbial growth, leading to the risk of an eye infection.

After June 11, we will continue to wear masks in clinic.
Although the mask mandate has ended, due to the close quarters in which we work with patients we still recommend that everyone continue to mask up when visiting the clinic for their appointments.

Happy New Year! 🥂🎉

We want to take this time to thank our patients for their support in 2021. It was a difficult year for everyone, and we have appreciated everyone’s patience and understanding as we navigated the ongoing pandemic and the OAO led job action. We’re hopeful for a positive outcome from the current negotiations with the Ontario government so that we can continue to provide everyone with excellent care in 2022.

Job action has been paused while the OAO and MOH enter into negotiations to in Ontario. This means that we can begin to see our patients again.

We appreciate your patience and support as we contact patients who’s appointments were canceled. We anticipate that the phone line will be very busy over the next few days but we are looking forward to seeing everyone back in the office soon!

There’s been a lot of talk from the Minister of Health about how the OAO has walked away from negotiations with the government. Time to this claim. The government knows what it is going to take to end the job action and false promises about coming back to an empty table isn’t it.

The government KNOWINGLY underfunds OHIP optometry services and expects non-covered 20-64 year olds to make up the difference. How is this fair? It’s not sustainable and not how health care should be provided in Ontario. If the government want to be able to say that OHIP covers eye exams, they have to actually cover the cost.
