We are delighted to share another case study with you of Nadine’s work with a private client who she has worked with for the past 3 years.

At ELM Music Therapy we can provide long-term input with our clients. Here is Nadine working with one of her lovely private clients in a nursery session.

Her client initially began individual sessions at her home in 2022. Once J began attending nursery, it felt appropriate to facilitate sessions there as part of his continuing social and emotional development. As their therapeutic relationship continued to grow Nadine was able to support J in his transition to primary school, providing a familiar face and structure during an important life transition.

Music Therapist Hannah from ELM Music Therapy with be joining us at Ferryhill Community Centre for 2 small groups (6 children each group).

We work with a number of different local charities including Team Jak Foundation- Jak's Den.

Here is Hannah making music at one of the group music therapy sessions, TJAM, at the Jak’s Den Base in Aberdeen where she also facilitates individual music therapy sessions.

Team Jak offer emotional, social and practical support for children with children and young people with cancer, their family, friends and those bereaved.

Hannah was joined by Speech and Language Therapists at the Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital and in schools this week to support the use of communication devices in Music Therapy. This included the use of communication boards, eye gaze devices and Makaton sign language to support communication, choices making, and self expression.

🎈🎶🌳 ELM is 10 Years Old 🌳🎶🎈

We can’t believe that ELM Music therapy has been providing music therapy sessions in the North East of Scotland now for 10 years.

Thank you all so much for your continued support. We have been so lucky to have worked with so many wonderful families and professionals over the past 10 years and are excited to see what the next 10 years will bring!
