Isle View Nursing Home Isle View is a purpose built single storey nursing home in Aultbea in the Highlands of Scotland. We are providing safe visits following guidelines.

lapool and less than an hour and a half from Inverness. Isle View has experienced and dedicated nurses and carers who are trained to work with residents at all levels of need, including Dementia and all age related issues. Isle View is a nursing care home. We have a totally open visiting policy. Isle View accepts both privately funded and Local Authority funded residents. Isle View is owned by Andrew and Alexandra McLuckie, the directors of AKAM Care Ltd, established in 2010.

Today we share what's a typical day in the life of … our Head Housekeeper:

"I lead a team of 4 housekeepers all working various hours. It has been a challenge over the last few years with all the extra cleaning and disinfecting required during COVID but the team have worked hard to ensure the standard of cleanliness remains high. It was satisfying that our latest care inspection noted that the home was clean.

If there are a full complement of cleaning staff on then I take the opportunity to do the jobs that are often neglected such as cleaning out cupboards and throwing out things that we have never used and didn't know we had!

The housekeeping team are flexible and can step into different roles such as laundry or kitchen if there is unexpected sickness.

Occasionally a resident will take a cloth to help dust and I enjoy the interaction with the residents when that happens.

I also collect medications from the pharmacy so can sometimes be out and about.

I'm happy to help wherever I can so am never sure what my day will bring."
