Periodic Table Of Sinister Emojis by Amit Singh Kalley - great resource for parents 🙂. Massive eye opener!

So I'm going to be on BBC News this evening.

Speaking about my emoji periodic table and why it went globally viral.

And when thinking about what to say, I'm sure it went viral because:

a) visually, it's easy to read and understand

b) it adds knowledge to people

c) it's based off the virality of Adolescence

And whilst the messages and feedback I've received have been overwhelmingly positive, I've been shown lots of negative reaction.

It's made up, the emojis do not represent those things, I'm somebody's old Facebook mum that's out of touch with youth etc.

Isn't it amazing that when somebody tries to increase your knowledge in an area, a small minority of people are convinced it's a lie.

And this, in itself, is an issue with social media. The refusal to believe something, the lack of trust, shared and spread by people with influence.

So as a reminder, just because you don't know something exists, it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

I'll be sharing these thoughts, and more, on the BBC News Channel at 6:30pm this evening, with Maryam Moshiri.

*An Insight Into Integrative Counselling by Nikki Della-Rocca of Addlestone Therapy*

As an integrative counsellor, I pull from different theories and approaches to help my clients look at their situation from all sorts of angles and perspectives.

These are stacking dolls, a newer version of traditional Russian dolls. I use them to look at the way experiences, through different stages of our life, impact us as we grow up.

I ask the client to talk to me about how life was when they were very small. Some can remember being very young whilst others have no real memories, just feelings. We then move onto the next doll, generally around primary school age although I do leave it to the client to tell me what age each doll represents. Normally at this age, a lot more is remembered. Small things, that don't seem particularly important to an adult, can sometimes be picked up. At a young age, such things can have a huge impact and we can already see a connection to their current behaviour. My clients often don't realise that there is a reason they remember something from their childhood that they consider not particularly important.

The patient is a stroke victim in his 40s. He is bedbound which means he cannot wash himself. He cannot stand and he cannot get out of the bed. His feet haven’t been touched since two years of having his stroke. He had a lot of dead skin on his feet, which needed to be removed by soaking them. It was quite painful removing the old dead skin. His nails grew under his toes, which was painful as you see the two big toes the nails were quite long and very, very painful. After I finished with my work on the feet he was pain-free and more comfortable.

I applied a special cream to soak into his feet as you can see in the picture. This was to remove the remaining dead cells on his feet, which are dead skin.

*IS YOUR CAR THE RIGHT FIT FOR YOU?*

Sometimes, the design of your car itself can lead to back problems. If you have to drive particularly long distances, check out the cabin and layout of the controls with the four tests, below.

If you can pass these four simple tests then there is a good chance that this is suitable for the particular driver. By using these tests a prospective buyer can make an informed choice and hopefully avoid 'driver's back pain and neck pain'.

1. The Praying Test - The driver places both hands together, pointing forwards. If the steering wheel is not offset then the driver should be pointing straight at the centre of the wheel. The danger of having an offset wheel is that most drivers tend to rotate the middle of the spine to compensate for its position, producing long term back strain.

2. The Fist Test - With the seat in the normal driving position make a fist with the left hand keeping the thumb to the side of the index finger. It should be possible to insert the fist on the crown of the head. If it is only possible to insert the flat of the hand between the roof and head then there is insufficient headroom. The danger of having too little headroom is that the driver may compensate for the lack of height by slouching in the seat which puts a strain on the spine and thighs.

3. The Look Down Test - With both hands placed evenly on the steering wheel look down at the legs. It should be possible to see equal amounts of both legs between the arms. Frequently the left leg will be visible but the right leg will be obscured by the right arm which may indicate that the shoulder girdle is rotated to the left in relation to the pelvis.

4. The Right Leg Test - This test should be performed after driving the car for a short while. Once again, look down and examine the position of the right leg. Is it elevated above the level of the left or has it fallen out towards the edge of the seat? Is the right foot roughly in line with the thigh as it should be, or has it had to come across towards the centre of the car?

Cauterization of verrucas is a very effective procedure.
Warts and verrucas are not uncommon, but they can be unsightly and painful. They can also make a person feel very self-conscious. Verrucas are warts on the feet and are usually harmless. Many times they clear up on their own without treatment. But while it may be easier to cover up verrucas to avoid embarrassment, it’s hard to ignore them completely because often they are very painful. This causes many people to look at options for verruca removal.

Verrucas are caused by certain strains of the human papilloma virus (HPV) that affect the skin. There are some things can be done at home for verrucas, but they can often be cleared much more quickly with treatment by a Chiropodist.

Electrocautery or Cauterization refers to a process in which a current is passed through a resistant metal wire electrode, generating heat. The heated electrode is then applied to living tissue to break down the tissue. Our Chiropodist uses this small probe to accurately introduce an electric current into the wart material with the aim of cauterising the blood supply.
