Thank you to Royal British Legion for visiting residents at Anchor - The Manor House Knaresborough 💜

Today, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming members of the Royal British Legion to The Manor House Care Home for a wonderful lunch and tour of our home. As a Veteran-Friendly Care Home, we are proud to support those who have served, and it was an honor to host such a fantastic group.

Our chef, Lesley, delighted everyone with homemade tomato soup, fresh rolls, and the most delicious scones with strawberry jam—a true treat for all! 🍅🥖🍓

It was a heartwarming afternoon of great conversation, shared stories, and a real sense of community. We’re thrilled that this will now be a monthly gathering, and next time, our residents will be invited to join in, making it an even more special occasion!

A huge thank you to the Royal British Legion for spending the day with us—we look forward to welcoming you all again next month! 💙

For Valentine's Day, Anchor - The Manor House Knaresborough set up the Hug Adoption Hub so residents, families and Anchor colleagues can adopt a pre-loved toy for just £2.

A total of 37 soft toys have already been adopted and the idea has led to smiles, conversations and thoughtful gift ideas.
