Yes, that’s right—that’s me 14 years ago with my mobile massage chair, offering back massages at every local event I could find.

When I started, I offered EVERYTHING—Aromatherapy, Indian Head Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Reflexology, Thai Massage, even beauty treatments like facials, waxing, manicures, pedicures… You name it, I did it.

And guess what?
I was never really successful.

Even when it’s positive, it can leave us feeling drained—emotionally, mentally, and even physically.

Why?
Because change shakes up what we know. It pulls us out of our comfort zone, demands energy, and sometimes makes us feel unsteady.

But here’s what I’ve learned:
When life feels overwhelming, the best thing you can do isn’t to fight it or force your way through.
It’s to pause, breathe, and ground yourself.
Just breathe.

Feel your feet on the ground.
Place your hand on your heart.
Let yourself be present.
Because when we slow down, we reconnect with our center. Our nervous system calms. Our thoughts become clearer. And suddenly, the weight we’re carrying doesn’t feel so heavy.

This is why in holistic massage therapy, grounding is so important. The body holds tension from stress and change, but when we create space—through breath, touch, and stillness—we release, reset, and realign.

So, if you’re feeling drained by change, remember: You don’t have to have all the answers right now.
Just breathe.

But when we’re in a stressed state, our minds are clouded, and our decisions may not be the best ones.

That’s why I follow what I call the 24-hour rule. If something is overwhelming me, I allow myself to pause, breathe, and wait until the next day before taking action—if possible.

Why?
Because stress triggers our fight-or-flight response, making it harder to see things clearly. When we give ourselves space, our nervous system calms, our perspective shifts, and often, the problem either seems smaller or even resolves itself.

This is the same principle behind holistic massage therapy—by slowing down, releasing tension, and allowing energy to flow naturally, we gain clarity, balance, and a sense of calm.

During a recent session with a regular client, I noticed subtle tightness and thickening in her palm, a possible early sign of Dupuytren’s Contracture—a condition that can cause the fingers to gradually curl inward over time.
Left untreated, this could eventually lead to permanent stiffness, making everyday tasks like gripping objects, writing, or shaking hands difficult.

While massage therapy has incredible benefits, in cases like back acne, it’s important to address the root cause first. Acne is caused by bacteria, and massage can unintentionally spread that bacteria, potentially making things worse.

✔️ Avoid tight clothing that traps sweat and bacteria.

I came for a massage with you as I have tension in my face since I dislocated my jaw years ago—just from yawning. I think I hold my jaw a lot because I’m worried if I yawn again, it will dislocate. Also, I have a headache every day. I’ve tried everything, and I’m worried about trying this TMJ massage… but my friend recommended you.

In life, it's easy to get caught up in what we think we need or want — a perfect outcome, a specific goal, or even a quick fix to our stress or discomfort. Our bodies and minds are deeply connected to the energy around us, and sometimes that energy guides us to the healing, growth, or rest we truly require.

When we approach life with openness and trust in the process, even the challenges or struggles become opportunities for transformation. This is why I believe that through massage therapy and mindfulness practices, we’re able to tap into the energy our bodies crave — whether it's releasing tension, soothing a chronic ache, or simply finding balance during a stressful period.
