Our Practice Profile
Henfield Medical Practice is a GP training and dispensing practice which operates from two sites, the main surgery at Henfield and a branch surgery at Partridge Green. There are currently 6 GP Partners and two salaried GPs at Henfield Medical Centre and the Practice has been a training Practice for many years, with two of the GPs being trainers which means we have additional
doctors in the surgery on placements of up to one year. We operate from well equipped, purpose built premises which were extended in 2010 to provide 12 consulting rooms, two treatment rooms, a dispensary, library, counselling room and a purpose built physiotherapy suite. When not in lock down the practice has on site chiropody and counsellor, as well weekly sessions with the clinical psychologist and geriatric psychiatrist. The branch surgery at Partridge Green, approximately 3 miles north of Henfield, was converted to surgery use in 1989 and consists of a small reception and waiting area, a GP consulting room and nurses treatment room. We employ five part time nurses who cover both surgery sites and also two health care assistants offering phlebotomy and health clinics. We also have an attached pharmacist. The practice nurses hold chronic disease and travel clinics, and a practice nurse also runs a minor illness alongside the open surgery already held daily by the surgery. Clinical staff are supported by a team of 17 ancillary staff. The practice uses SystmOne clinical software and is an electronic paper-light surgery. We have an active patient participation group who have helped build a good relationship between the surgery and patients. They produce a six monthly newsletter and help patient education by arranging regular consultant talks. They also help to raise funds for a local trust set up to assist with the purchase of equipment for the surgery.
