👀 Looking for 2 keen runners 🏃‍♂️who want to train together to take their performance to the next level.

You’ll get:
1: Movement diagnostic report before and after the training block.
2: 12 strength and conditioning sessions with an accredited strength and conditioning coach.

What can we show you with our movement diagnostic assessment?

By using force plate technology we can see what is going with each limb when you train at the gym or even when you run.

When running each foot strikes the ground around 80-100 times per minute if you run an average time of 25 minutes, that’s 2000-2500 foot strikes per foot each time you run.

Each time we strike the floor, the impact force between our foot and the ground can be anywhere between 2–3+ time body weight, repeated 2000-2500 times just for a 25 minute 5k run.

If you weight and average of 70kg, that’s an impact force of 140-210kg each time your foot hits the floor, “DON’T TELL ME RUNNERS DON”T NEED TO BE STRONG.”

How can a diagnostic report help you reduce the likely hood of what is termed overuse injuries and or improve performance.

1: We can see imbalances in your performance between left and right side
A: Balance and stability (are you putting excessive stress on one limb or structures like bone, ligaments and tendons).
B: Strength (are you even strong enough to deal with the impact, therefore it’s a matter of time before something gives).
2: We can see how well you utilise the natural elastic properties in your lower leg:
(reducing the stress on muscles and other structures making you a more economical runner).
3: We can prescribe training that is specific to you and your needs:
(therefore, you’re not doing too much or not enough and focusing on the right things).

It’s Exam season and many young athletes up and down the country are deep in revision and exams right now. We often notice a drop off in attendance during this period due to a complete focus on the school side of things which in our opinion can have a net negative affect on your child, let’s take a look at why continuing to schedule in physical activity during exam season is ESSENTIAL ⬇️⬇️

🏋️‍♀️ The theory of reversibility, if you don’t use it you lose it! All your child’s hard work ealrier in the year will be undone if they don’t attend.

🏋️‍♀️ physical exercise has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety and increase overall well-being, a really crucial component to keep ⬇️ during a very stressful period.

🏋️‍♀️ A clear head, exercise can help blow off excess steam thus allowing your child to have a clear and focussed head on their next block of revision or exam.

We’re not saying make Physical activity the main focus but by scheduling in key time for your child let off steam you will have huge positives (physical and mental) on your child’s exam season.

Why have a strength diagnostic report 📈

By using force decks to look at a variation of jumps and landing can provide us with a load of information about what you do when you run 🏃‍♂️

Injury prevention:
It can tell us how well you use different types of muscle contractions and if you favour one leg 🦵 over the other.

Running economy:
We can see if training is actually improving your running economy through your jumping and landing ability.

Individual program:
With the information gathered and truly individual program can be made to help you based of the results.
