This weekend, many young Kiwis across the country will be taking part in Crate Day. Connecting with friends, and making the time to catch up face-to-face, has huge benefits for your state of mind and personal wellbeing – but the Crate Day tradition of drinking to excess has its drawbacks. Are there healthier ways to build those connections? We think it’s a question worth asking.
Remember: if you’re worried that a friend or family member is starting to drink in ways that might not be healthy, our PIVOT service is a great place to start those conversations.

Movember is here, and New Zealand Health Group is proud to support this incredible cause!

Men’s health is an issue that impacts us all—whether it’s raising awareness for prostate cancer, testicular cancer, or mental health, there are many ways you can get involved and make a difference. Movember is more than just growing a moustache; it’s about coming together to create change!

Here’s how you can support:
👨‍🦰 Grow a Mo: Start a conversation and show your support by growing your moustache.
🚶‍♂️ Move for Movember: Commit to walking or running 60km throughout November—1 km for each of the 60 men we lose to su***de every hour across the world.
🤝 Host an Event: Bring people together to raise funds and awareness for men's health.
💰 Donate: Every dollar counts towards groundbreaking projects in mental and physical health for men.

Together, we can help improve the lives of men across New Zealand and beyond. Learn more about how you can get involved and donate here:

It’s International Day of Care and Support! As part of New Zealand Health Group’s purpose to achieve equitable wellbeing for everyone, every week thousands of our support workers offer care, companionship, and independence to tens of thousands of individuals across the motu. Without the patience and expertise of these hard-working health heroes, our mission would be impossible.
We are incredibly proud and grateful for the crucial role support workers play: not only in our organisation and for the people we support, but in the homes and lives of people in need all across Aotearoa.
