Beautiful Saturday morning!

Started with our monthly walk with familiar and new faces. We had a lively discussion about vaccines. Raced through the lake loop to head over to the office to welcome folks to a meditation workshop. This time we did a hybrid session and some folks joined virtually. Laura Cannon led a phenomenal session for us, yet again!

So grateful for the community we have built with Walk with a Doc and Oak Tree Primary Care ❤️

December Walk tomorrow!

Back in September, we had a meditation workshop at Oak Tree Primary Care. As is usually the case anytime we bring our attention to mindfulness based practices, we are reminded me how easy and accessible they are.

Laura Cannon graciously led the session and it was amazing. We all walked out of it feeling rejuvenated and inspired. Thank you Laura!

We are seeing this here also.

Mycoplasma pneumoniae infections are increasing among children, especially those ages 2-4. Mycoplasma pneumoniae isn’t typically a leading cause of pneumonia in pediatric populations. The CDC recommends that pediatricians swab both the throat and the nasopharynx of patients suspected to have pneumonia to increase the likelihood of detecting mycoplasma pneumoniae, as well as prescribe antibiotics that are effective against the strain. We dropped the ball this time about posting on socials and sending our reminder email, but as promised the walk happened last week on the first Saturday of the month, 9am at Centennial Park.

We had a special guest and as always it was a great time!
