In May, we held a special product-focused rep training centered around our cartilage repair systems designed for large defects, especially in the knee: the AlloGraft OATS® & BioUni® OATS® (Osteochondral Allograft Transfer System). These unique systems allow surgeons to harvest a chondral plug from a fresh osteochondral donor graft to replace the damaged areas within the patient's joint. Using a donor graft enables the surgeon to get a better match for the exact contour of the joint, while avoiding the complications that come with harvesting a graft from the patient's own knee. Our Technology Specialists were able to learn more about how the product works, acquire some tips and pearls for use, and practice with a hands-on demo.
