On this we’re highlighting the incredible achievements of Marie Curie who developed the mobile X-ray unit, which was first used on wounded soldiers during World War I. She is also the first person to win two Nobel Prizes.

“When World War I began, Marie realized that X-ray technology could play an important role in the care of wounded soldiers. With X-rays doctors could see a patient’s injuries. They could see broken bones and figure out how to mend them. They could find and possibly remove bullets and shards of metal. During the war Marie raised money to develop a fleet of mobile radiology labs that could transport X-ray technology to battlefronts. Doctors used X-ray technology to examine and treat soldiers who had been injured.”*

He is Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology, subspecialty Board Certified in Neuroradiology (CAQ) and is a Senior Member of ASNR. He is a leader in the early adoption and advancement of Ultra High Field Strength 3T MRI Neuroimaging in the Outpatient setting. He is a recognized local authority on Spinal Imaging and Interventions and has special interest in 3T Neurovascular Imaging of aneurysms and AVM’s, MS and Neurodegenerative Disorders.

🧠Help prevent falls by installing handrails where needed, use non-slip mats in slippery areas and keep walkways clear of objects
🧠Follow safety guidelines for sports and ensure proper supervision particularly with contact sports
🧠Avoid substance abuse
🧠Wear protective gear at work if your workplace presents head injury risks
🧠Schedule regular visits with your doctor to monitor and manage any underlying health conditions

. Did you know that your breast tissue can either be dense or not?

Dense breast tissue contains more fibrous and glandular tissue than fatty tissue which can make it harder to detect breast cancer on a mammogram.

This is why it’s important for you to know what type of breast tissue you have.
