Meet our new provider, Dr. Monica Patel, DNP, primarily seeing patients at our Landover location. Dr. Patel is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who received her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Maryland Baltimore. She completed her pediatric clinical training in both rural and suburban areas of Maryland, focusing on school-based health and pediatric primary care. She has special interests in childhood obesity and helping first time Moms navigate their first year with their child. She resides in Washington, D.C. with her husband and son. In her free time, she enjoys being active with her family, playing flag football, hiking, traveling, and trying new recipes.

Kid Friendly recipe - Fruit salad2 cups of strawberries, sliced
1 cup of blueberries
1 cup of grapes, halved
2 bananas, sliced
1 apple, diced
Juice of 1 lemon
2 tablespoons of honey (optional)
Instructions:

In a large bowl, combine all the sliced and diced fruits.
Squeeze the lemon juice over the fruits to prevent browning and add a refreshing zing.
If desired, drizzle honey over the fruits for a touch of sweetness. You can adjust the amount of honey according to your taste preference.
