I have hit a pretty hard block after doing so many great readings the last couple of days. I feel my last two readings struggled due to this and I don’t want that experience for anyone! I’m going to slow down the practicing right now as I feel I’m supposed to be focusing on another portion of my practice while I wait for this block to clear.

If you’re curious how it works or how you will be treated… With me you are guaranteed to be accepted for who you or regardless of what information is brought through. You will be treated with kindness, an open mind & heart. Readings are often difficult for people (they are also difficult for me) because a majority of the time it’s closure that was never given prior to the individual passing, so expect a lot of compassion and empathy from me.

- Healing Is Not Linear -

A lot of people tend to think healing (whether it be physically or mentally) is done in a method similar to climbing a set of stairs, meeting milestone after milestone with nothing in between & an easy end goal of being healed.

While life would be much easier if it operated this way, it simply doesn’t. Instead, you take two steps up that staircase towards healing and are likely knocked down a step (or a few) by the ebb and flow of life.

Although you end up knocked down, you ultimately made some net progress. This may be a lesson learned or a heart broken, but you leave that step with a little more knowledge than you did the last time you were there. This is the inevitable process of healing.

Healing is hard, it is one of the most difficult things we will ever do in our lifetimes. Trying to heal past wounds, childhood traumas, generational curses, broken hearts & so much more…

Most people going through their healing journey hit points where they feel doomed and stuck with their feelings of anger, sadness, guilt, shame, & regret. These emotions can be hard to get passed; however, we have to learn to see the bigger picture (or the top of the staircase in this analogy).

I know, I know… easier said than done. We as humans have a tendency to pay attention to what is in close proximity to us and this can make it hard to feel like any of the “good progress” wasn’t just for nothing.

The reality is, is it’s all good progress. Actively taking steps to see yourself in a better position one day will help. Here’s a list below of tips, reminders, and small steps you can take as often as you see fit to brighten your hard days a little and make another small step towards your ultimate goal of healing.

-Remember, if something doesn’t work for you, you can try something new or adapt it to fit your individual needs!

-Failing to stick to a routine doesn’t mean routines can’t work for you. It just means you need to sit back and look at the progress you made between before and after you decided to make a change and remember your end goal.

-Time itself is unlikely to heal. You likely need to do some self reflection and work on yourself some. Journaling each day is an excellent way to do this. Just let your words flow even if they don’t make sense, you will eventually get there.

-Make a goal board filled with what you are using as motivation. This can be done on poster board or even Pinterest! Whatever calls to you.

- Daily affirmations in the mirror! This can be as simple as reminding yourself what you’re working towards and saying you can do this.

-Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Speak to a trusted friend, family member, or therapist. There are many therapy programs out there to help guide you through your journey of self healing.

-Take your feelings seriously. It is OKAY to feel what you’re feeling. Acknowledge them as they arise so they don’t pile up and create problems later on.

-Remember that healing HURTS and that’s okay. If it was easier, everyone would be doing it.

- It is alright to cut toxic people out of your life to create peace and healing for yourself. In this journey the person that matters most is you.
