Surf Life Saving in Western Australia is a volunteer based not-for-profit community service organisation, providing an essential educational and emergency rescue service to all users of West Australian beaches. Surf Life Saving is a part of the history, fabric and future of this country. It represents the lifestyle, values and beliefs of the Australian culture. It protects life, it saves life, it promotes life. We create a safe environment in and around our beaches, through patrols on, in and above the shore and through education and training programs. Surf Life Saving is the largest volunteer movement of its kind in Australia and exists only through community donations, fundraising and corporate sponsorship. Surf Life Saving Western Australia comprises a State centre, 31 surf life saving clubs, support operations teams on the water and in the air and over 21,500 members who are all committed to saving lives and positively impacting on their local communities.

For 15 years, Dulux Weathershieldยฎ has been helping protect the heart of Australiaโ€™s coastline, our Surf Life Saving Clubs.

Through the Surf Club Project, theyโ€™ve painted more than 250 clubs with Dulux Weathershieldยฎ, defending their walls against peeling, flaking and blistering in some of the harshest conditions.

Every year, they proudly donate 100L of Dulux Weathershieldยฎ to each club, so they can keep standing strong for their communities. Because when it comes to protecting what matters, theyโ€™re in it for the long run. ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ–๏ธ

We were joined by nutritionist Carla from partner Fuel to Go & Play who spoke about nutrition and fuelling for your sport, and athletes were presented with the team uniforms thanks to our official apparel partner Engine Swim.

๐Ÿšฉ Our ๐๐ข๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ ๐‹๐ข๐Ÿ๐ž๐ ๐ฎ๐š๐ซ๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐š๐ฆ is a day-long, fun-filled program for U13 Nippers.

Providing participants with surf and ocean skills training, they'll hear from a visiting Lifeguard, get up close to surf lifesaving powercraft, and learn more about first aid and how to respond in an emergency.

Congratulations to Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club member Julian Barry who has been recognised with a National Medal for 15 years of service and commitment to the Surf Life Saving movement.

Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) congratulates the 212 Surf Lifesavers recognised with National Medals in SLSA National Medal Batch 54.

This year, 191 members received National Medals for 15 years of service and 20 were awarded their 1st Clasps for 25 years of service. A special mention to Richard Lissenden ESM from North Bondi SLSC, who has been recognised with his 2nd Clasp for 35 years of dedication to the Surf Life Saving movement.
