🌾 Grass Seed Alert! 🌾

Grass seeds might be tiny, but they can cause BIG problems. Their sharp shape allows them to easily lodge themselves into the common places such as ears, noses, eyes and paws, often leading to pain, infection and often needing anaesthetic for removal.
If left untreated they can migrate to different parts of the body!

What you can do to help keep your pets safe:
✨ Keep lawns mowed and trim long grasses around your home when possible.
✨ Check your pet after walks, especially around the ears, paws and underbelly..
✨ Act quickly if you notice any of these symptoms:
• Excessive licking or chewing at paws
• Rubbing or scratching at ears
• Shaking their head
• Sudden sneezing or nasal discharge
• Swelling or discomfort in any area

If your pet shows any of these signs, please book a consult right away. The sooner a grass seed is removed, the less damage it can do.

Let’s work together to keep our furry family members safe this grass seed season! 💚🌾🐾
