Anxiety is something so many people carry quietly and often feel they have to manage alone.
In Australia anxiety is actually the most common mental health condition. Around 1 in 4 people will experience an anxiety disorder at some point in their life, and in any given year over 3 million Australians are living with anxiety.
What is anxiety?
Anxiety is the bodies natural stress response. It can show up as constant worry, racing thoughts, a tight chest, trouble sleeping, irritability, or that feeling that your nervous system just won’t switch off. It’s your mind and body staying on high alert for longer than it should.
Over the years I’ve learnt that while there’s no single solution, supporting the nervous system naturally can make a beautiful difference alongside other support.
One of the things I personally turn to is aromatherapy. The roller I’m holding here is made with a blend of 100% pure essential oils chosen specifically to support emotional calm.
💜 Ylang Ylang (Cananga odorata) Research shows this oil can help lower blood pressure and promote relaxation, helping the body shift away from the stress response.

When inhaled the aromatic molecules travel directly to the limbic system which is the part of the brain that influences emotions, mood and memory. That’s why aromas can have such a powerful effect on how we feel.
For me rolling this onto my wrists, behind my ears, on my abdomen, and chest while taking a slow breath has become a small pause in the day, a reminder to soften my shoulders, breathe deeply, and come back to calm. This can also be rolled on the bottom off your feet at night.
