Meet Terri đź’Ş

One of our newer team members holding her own space here at BODYSPACE.

Terri has worked as a massage therapist supporting FIFO workers, so she understands hard, physical work and the toll it takes on the body. She brings solid hands-on experience, ongoing education, and a deep respect for how the body actually functions into every session.

She listens.
She notices.
She works with what your body is asking for — not against it.

Terri enjoys remedial-focused work and incorporates cupping where appropriate. She’s also our only in-house practitioner offering dry needling.

When you book in, you’re not just choosing a treatment.
You’re choosing the practitioner supporting your body through it.

Once the noise and adrenaline of the holidays drop, it’s common to feel tight, tired or overstimulated — it’s a normal part of transition.

As the school routine starts again… and if you’re feeling a mix of relief, guilt, exhaustion and “where did January go?” — you’re not alone 🤍

Today for me looked a lot like:
• last-minute labelling
• checking bags (again)
• realising the calculator was still missing
• a mad dash to Officeworks
• and wondering how it was already the afternoon

The school holidays are beautiful…
but they’re also loud, busy, emotionally full, and a lot on the nervous system.

If today feels like:
• catching up on washing
• resetting lunches and routines
• feeling touched-out
• already tired before Term 1 even starts

That’s not failure. That’s real life.

A gentle reminder for our local Cockburn families:
You don’t need to “bounce back” tomorrow.

Many women come to us saying things like:
“I don’t feel like myself anymore.”
“My sleep is broken.”
“My body feels heavy, puffy, or tense for no clear reason.”

For many, this is the beginning of peri-menopause.

A phase where hormones fluctuate and the nervous system becomes more sensitive.

It can show up as disrupted sleep, sore or stiff joints, swelling, fatigue, anxiety, or feeling disconnected from your body.

Nothing is “wrong” with you.
Your body is asking for support, not pushing.

Gentle, consistent care can make a real difference during this stage.
