World Braille Day - JAN 4th

Today is World Braille Day, a day to recognize the importance of Braille in empowering blind and visually impaired individuals. Did you know that Braille was invented almost 200 years ago and remains a vital tool for literacy and independence? In Australia, organizations like Vision Australia provide resources to support individuals using Braille. Let’s celebrate this incredible innovation and the people who use it every day!

For those still interested and able to contribute to the hamper item donations, we are continuing to accept items for one more week. After this, we will begin assembling the hampers and organizing deliveries/pick-ups. Your generosity would greatly assist us in distributing as many hampers as possible. We have received over 100 nominations.

I LOVE THIS ANALOGY:
You are holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into you or shakes your arm, making you spill your coffee everywhere.
Why did you spill the coffee?
"Because someone bumped into me!!!"
Wrong answer.
You spilled the coffee because there was coffee in your cup.
Had there been tea in the cup, you would have spilled tea.
Whatever is inside the cup is what will spill out.
Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you (which WILL happen), whatever is inside you will come out. It's easy to fake it, until you get rattled.
So we have to ask ourselves... “what's in my cup?"
When life gets tough, what spills over?
Joy, gratitude, peace and humility?
Anger, bitterness, victim mentality and quitting tendencies?
Life provides the cup, YOU choose how to fill it.
Today let's work towards filling our cups with gratitude, forgiveness, joy, words of affirmation, resilience, positivity; and kindness, gentleness and love for others.

What can I say? In just 48 hours after sharing our link, we have already received over 80 nominations and still going for individuals who need some relief.
If you are able, please consider donating items to help us support as many of these individuals as we can. While we know we can't assist everyone, even a single item to help create these hampers would mean the world to us. We would be incredibly grateful and blessed for your generosity.

Donations are warmly welcomed from now until Friday, November 29th. This timeframe gives our team the opportunity to gather the donated items and prepare the individual hampers for distribution.
