Meet Physio Tash ✨

While Tash has been apart of the team for sometime now we thought she deserves a special formal introduction!

Tash has a strong passion for working in the disability sector which she has been able to gain experience in over the last 6 years working in Perth and the Kimberley as a disability Physiotherapist.
After graduating as a Physiotherapist from The University of Notre Dame in 2019, she also gained experience in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and attained her Physiotherapist-Pilates Instructor qualification which has enhanced her understanding of abnormal movement and refined her approach to rehabilitation.

She is compassionate, eager to learn and focused on building strong therapeutic relationships with patients and their families. She enjoys working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide therapy in a holistic, biopsychosocial context AND her patients LOVE her! 💙

✨ “Train your mind to see the good in every situation” ✨
Perspective is everything. No matter how tough things get, there’s always a silver lining if you choose to look for it. 🌱
Today, we’re reminding everyone to focus on the positive, find the lessons, and embrace the journey. What’s one thing you’re grateful for today? 🙏💫

This month, our team came together for a powerful professional development session focused on Multiple Sclerosis (MS). 🌟 We delved into the latest research, treatment options, and the incredible strides being made in MS care. It’s inspiring to see how far we’ve come, but even more motivating to know how much more there is to learn.

🚨 Urgent: NDIS Physiotherapy Cuts Threaten Access to Essential Care 🚨

If you rely on physiotherapy under the NDIS—or know someone who does—this is a critical time to speak up. Providers, participants, and carers are encouraged to join the conversation, share their stories, and advocate for fairer pricing that reflects the true value of allied health services.

Manual therapy or massage is an important tool your Physiotherapists can utilise for many reasons!

🔹 1) Pain relief - Techniques like joint mobilisations or soft tissue release can reduce pain by calming irritated nerves and improving local circulation.

🔹 2) Improving joint mobility - If a joint is stiff or restricted manual therapy can increase its range of motion.

🔹3) Muscle tension release - soft tissue techniques like massage or trigger point release target tight or overworked muscles.

🔹 4) Enhancing movement quality - When combined with exercise, manual therapy can help restore normal movement patterns.

🔹 5) Nervous system benefits - Gentle techniques like neurodynamic mobilisations can reduce nervous system sensitivity.
