If you're an allied health professional, don't miss out on our FREE webinar about the changes set to rollout nationwide in October with PACE.

We're running this important topic on two days, for different timezones to suit our provider community across Australia. Click below to learn more and register.

For Wed 27 Sep, 4pm AWST 👇 https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/7516952758029/WN_XjzWSW_uQnC41y7n4Y36RQ
For Wed 04 Oct, 4pm AEDT 👇 https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/6416952757729/WN_O9xV5C7rRhioeXUm4YkD4Q

You may have heard PACE described as just a new computer system. More than this, it will bring major changes to the rest of the scheme that will impact all participants (and therefore all allied health providers).

Businesses can expect changes to:

⭐ How they get paid for services
⭐ Their admin and reporting processes
⭐ The way they support people in the NDIS (in the PACE system)

All registrants will receive the webinar recording, HeyHubble's guide to PACE and a certificate of attendance (on request) which may be useful for CPD points.

Learn more about this important topic and register for your chosen date and timezone. Spots are limited!

Anyone else excited for tomorrow's Matildas v England match? 💚💛

Off the buzz of Saturday's epic game, we came across this article about goalkeeper Mackenzie Arnold’s life with hearing loss and underfunding in Deaf football.

And it got us thinking.

People with disability are already in the room, kicking (and saving) goals, contributing, participating, winning.

More awareness and greater investment in things that create more opportunities are massively needed.

🙅‍♀️ Not ‘cause they’re inspirations.

✅ Because mainstream sporting and pop culture should reflect the actual diversity of people living in this country. (1 in 6 Aussies are people with disability).

You can read the article here too: https://amp.abc.net.au/article/102717614

Yes it can. ‘Training for Carers/Parents’ is a recognised support in the NDIS, same as things like speech pathology, support work and more.

It falls under ways you can use a Capacity Building Supports budget. Which makes sense: this support is all about building your own capacity as a parent or carer.

And if you’re wondering who a ‘carer’ is, they are anyone involved in raising, looking after and being there for your child.

🔍Look for the category 'Improved Daily Living' in your child’s plan if you’re interested in accessing this kind of support. This is the specific funding you’ll need.

"OT" is short for Occupational Therapist, a type of allied health therapist commonly accessed through the NDIS.

An OT works with people to build their capacity in everyday life. Some things they commonly help with include:

🤝 Making friends and socialising.

🙋‍♀️ Communicating and regulating emotions.

🚏Building skills and confidence to get out into the community more - for example, learning how to catch public transport.

🧠 Improving how you manage your time, plan tasks, problem solve and much more to help you do whatever you set your mind to.

Thank you to Perth Integrated Health for having us at their Evolving with the NDIS Symposium.

This was an incredible opportunity to bring together a community of healthcare professionals with a shared purpose - to help those living with disability.

The discussions and presentations were insightful and inspiring, and the atmosphere was energetic. It was a pleasure to have Jonathan, one of our founders, share his insights on Effective Report Writing in the NDIS, and to have Rachel as one of the Coffee and Chat session facilitators; all surrounded by a group of brilliant and caring individuals. 💜
