Being a Postpartum Doula, I get the privilege to witness families BE families🥰

Often I'll be fluttering around a home & I get glimmers of what my work truly brings into a family network.

It's truly magic to see families having a sit down breakfast together, a mother and child reading on the couch, a mother feeding her newborn, a father getting solo dad time with the bubba while mama sleeps in, parents able to enjoy self care while I take care of the children. And so so many more beautiful moments.

It's huge blessing to witness these sacred moments, especially as family dynamics transform when a new child enters the world🌏

A huge thank you to all the families that have entrusted me within their homes. The mamas (beautiful souls) the dads (such legends) the toddlers (so playful) and the babies (so wholesome)

To each and every one of you thank you on my journey so far of serving families postpartum and whatever phase of postpartum that has looked like for you ❤️

Because of you I also get to enjoy special & sacred moments with my family supporting me to build my dreams🌹

Fun fact about me: I love creating pretty meal drops as much as I love cooking them✨

When I'm packaging up any sort of meal, I always love to add flowers, ribbons, & notes🌸

You'll notice the paper I write on will always be some sort of re used card or something I've painted myself or with my son. As well as the flowers or sometimes shells weaved into the ribbon (again reused ribbons) are always hand picked from mother earth.

I really do think overconsumption is mad right now and I try to do my part especially when things like notes & cards usually get out into the bin.

So if it looks crinkled it's because it's been loved on by others before you 🥰

Understand this - when you purchase from Honouring Her, there is love poured into every inch of whatever you have invested in🧚🏼‍♀️

Lately (like a lot!) I find myself contemplating life/ this journey/ my souls purpose/ never missing the point 🫧

It really doesn't matter
•what clothes you wear
•what brand of pots and pans you use in the kitchen
•your hair colour

None of it really matters 🤯

All that matters in this experience (in my eyes)

Is choosing JOY and LIGHT and LOVE over scarsity fear and overwhelm

And the imprint you wish/ choose to leave in this lifetime

For me, it's bringing the joy, light & love into mothers homes. Whilst in the sacred energy of postpartum. And i believe by being super intentional within this special space the imprint of joy, light & love spent nourishing and nurturing the mother will also be imprinted in the children, creating more JOY LIGHT LOVE for our babies and their babies and their babies 🌹🥹🫶🏽

For obvious reasons mama was too unwell to cook and desperately needed some nourishment dropped to her door!

POSTPARTUM SPECIFIC FOOD🫶🏽🍠

I like sharing simple tips.
It can be easy.
Let's not overcomplicate things we don't need to.

Especially as mamas or expecting mamas (we have enough on our plate)

Think warming meals. Nourishing. Easy on your digestive system and ultimately you want to support the healing after bubs.

Broths
Stews
Slow cooked meals
One pot wonder recipes

Don't overthink it and when in doubt at least make sure your produce is organic & add in more whole foods where possible.

Soften your foods and stay clear of really cold things right after birth.

But mama trust your food intuition too.

Or hire a postpartum doula (me) and I'll do it for you 🤎
