Aurelia Update – 21 November

Tonight Aurelia’s story will be aired on the news across Channel 7, Channel 9 and Channel 10 at 4pm, 5pm and 6pm. We are incredibly grateful to each station for being so understanding and accommodating of Aurelia’s complex needs. Their compassion made a heartbreaking situation feel gentler, and we cannot thank them enough for handling her story with such care.

We have now reached $28,000 on the GoFundMe. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Every donation, every share, every message of love — it’s all been carrying us through the hardest days of our lives. Our community has wrapped around Aurelia and our family in a way we will never forget.

Aurelia is being released from hospital today into palliative care. Our hearts are breaking. We are running out of time to raise the funds needed to get her overseas for a heart–lung transplant. Aurelia’s condition is worsening. She is now experiencing episodes of loss of consciousness for up to 2.5 minutes, multiple times a day. We desperately need to raise the funds while she is still well enough to travel. Please stand with us while we fight for her life, while we still have little time left. Update:
A family meeting between PCH and our families has been called for Thursday at 12:00pm regarding Aurelia. Today is Tuesday. We’ll keep everyone posted on any changes and what comes next from here.
