Equine Psychotherapy
Equine psychotherapy is a type of therapy, also known as horse therapy that involves the client interacting with horses and ponies. Designed for people of any age, equine therapy had been shown to treat a variety of mental health issues, addressing both the body and mind. Horses are incorporated into sessions for a range of issues including depression, trauma, anxiety, autism, grief and loss.
Equine therapy is conducted by Stephanie Haley alongside horse trainer Karen White at Mohegan Training Centre in Henley Brook which is close to my clinic. It is a wonderful way to heal in a country, open air environment. No horse experience is necessary, and we take the 90 minute sessions at your pace, with lots of safe, caring guidance from us.
