Last chance plant lovers 🌿

This Saturday the 20th is the final day for plant click and collect before we’re gone for the summer season.

If you’re thinking of starting that herb garden over the Christmas break, now is the time. We’ve just done a full plant website restock and this stock won’t last long. Especially plants like skullcap, passionflower, and lion’s tail. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.

We’ll be back open January 3rd, so get in quick and get your garden sorted before the new year 💚

Pick up: Maida Vale 6057 Western Australia

The garden feels like a little fairy tale right now. Echinacea is back for its second season, bursting into bloom again. These strong, vibrant flowers mean better-climatised seed tough enough to handle our scorching heat and rough summers 🪴🌱💞

We hand harvest and grow all our dried herbs 🪴 It is so rewarding knowing exactly how our herbs are grown and the freshness and energy that goes into every batch.

We are proud to say that nothing ever goes to waste. If we have potted plants that have not sold, they go straight back into the garden to be harvested for tea. If we have too much tea, the plants are left to go to seed so the seeds can be collected and shared. The beautiful cycle of plants.🪴🌱🌿✨

🌸 New Seed Variety Now Available COSMOS 🌸

It has been such a joy growing Cosmos this year. I have never really given them their own dedicated space before but now that I have, they have absolutely flourished. Next year I will definitely be growing even more varieties.

My favourite thing about Cosmos is how much the pollinators and native bees adore them. They also make the sweetest pressed flowers, look beautiful on cakes, and add the prettiest pop of colour to indoor bouquets. This variety is Capriola and it has gorgeous pink and white petals that brighten up any garden.

They are very easy to grow, thrive in poor or dry soil, self seed well, and the butterflies love them. Truly a must have for the garden.

You can find them now on our website.

Something truly special is putting on a display in the garden right now — St Johns Wort 🪴

It’s a plant that often gets misunderstood in the gardening and herbal community, but it’s genuinely a beautiful addition to a home apothecary. This time of year can be stressful, and seeing it bloom feels like a gentle reminder to slow down and support ourselves.

Just a little note of care: St Johns Wort is a very strong medicinal herb and should only be taken internally under guidance from a qualified practitioner. It can interact with certain medications, so professional advice is essential.

Growing it, however, is an absolute joy and making a herbal oil from the flowers is incredible for soothing tired muscles and supporting areas of inflammation. A little plant with a lot of power 🌿✨

Or come see us at the on Sunday 1 December at Stirk Park. It’s one of Perth’s biggest garden events with local growers, workshops, talks, food stalls, and so many plant treasures. We’ll be there all day with a full range of herbs, dried blends, and a few special plants we’ve been growing just for the festival.

Because of high demand, we’re limiting Passionflower to one plant per customer so everyone gets a chance to grow their own little piece of magic.

See you there plant lovers 🌿✨

🌿 Yarrow Appreciation Post 🌿

Yarrow has been my absolute go-to this week. I’ve been using it for a sore tooth and honestly, it’s reminded me just how incredible this herb is. It’s traditionally used for toothache, bleeding gums, and mouth ulcers. It helps numb things down, tones up those irritated tissues, and eases that angry inflammation so well.

For extra support, I’ve been pairing it with a few favourite herbs:
• Passionflower to calm the nerves and take the edge off that tooth pain tension.
• Barberry for its antimicrobial action to help the body fight infection.
• Violet leaf to cool and soothe irritated tissues.
• Self Heal for its beautiful wound-healing, restorative qualities.

Such a comforting little blend, but yarrow is definitely the star of the show here. Herbs really shine in moments like this 🌿💛 millefolium
