🌿 Yarrow Appreciation Post 🌿

Yarrow has been my absolute go-to this week. I’ve been using it for a sore tooth and honestly, it’s reminded me just how incredible this herb is. It’s traditionally used for toothache, bleeding gums, and mouth ulcers. It helps numb things down, tones up those irritated tissues, and eases that angry inflammation so well.

For extra support, I’ve been pairing it with a few favourite herbs:
• Passionflower to calm the nerves and take the edge off that tooth pain tension.
• Barberry for its antimicrobial action to help the body fight infection.
• Violet leaf to cool and soothe irritated tissues.
• Self Heal for its beautiful wound-healing, restorative qualities.

Such a comforting little blend, but yarrow is definitely the star of the show here. Herbs really shine in moments like this 🌿💛 millefolium

Some days aren’t for ticking all the boxes or getting everything done.
They’re for lying on the grass with my rooster, watching the clouds drift by, and picking little flowers to bring a bit of light back into the day 🌸🐓☁️

Now back to work 🤣🤣🤣

🌿 A little peek behind the scenes 🌿

You might have noticed that some of our plants dried herbs and seeds are currently out of stock. Made For The Earth is a one-woman operation, and everything is grown seasonally and by hand, following nature’s rhythm. Weather, timing, and high demand all play their part in how much we can offer at any given time.

Thank you so much for your patience, understanding, and continued support of my ever-growing little business. I pour a lot of love and hard work into each plant, and I’m so grateful to everyone who chooses to grow alongside us 💚

We will be heading into our summer herbs soon so stay tuned for updates and new plants launching soon!

Not called “Amazing Grey” for nothing! ✨

Our garden is bursting with poppies at the moment, and this variety has to be one of the prettiest yet. Soft purple tones with silvery petals that shimmer in the sunlight they really are something special. 🌸 You can find our homegrown Amazing Grey poppy seeds on the website if you’d like to add a touch of magic to your own garden ✨🌿🪴

New Sweet Annie (Artemisia annua) seeds now available on our website! Grown right here on our farm! 🌿

Known for its fresh, sweet scent and feathery foliage, Sweet Annie is a traditional herb valued for its cleansing and immune-supportive properties. It’s often used to support healthy digestion, reduce fevers, and assist the body’s natural defenses.

Perfect for both the herb garden and for drying in herbal blends or even add to flower arrangements 🌿🌱🪴

🌿 Fresh beginnings! 🌿

I thought it was time to jump on here with a little about me! 💚

So, who are we? We’re a small scale medicinal herb farm nestled in the heart of Maida Vale, Perth WA.

Made for the Earth is run by me, Talishia, with the endless love and support of my fiancé David. We both have a serious gardening addiction and a deep love for all things edible! 🥕🌱

I’m a huge herbal tea lover and have always had a passion for growing healing herbs. I started this business with the hope of bringing back some of the lost treasures of medicinal plants, locally and organically grown here in WA, and offering them as teas, dried herbs and seeds. 🌾✨

I have too many favourites to count but the herbs I find myself reaching for most are lemon balm, wood betony and licorice. 🍃
As for David, I’d say his favourite thing from the garden is anything that’s been pickled! (I’m a sucker for pickled beets myself! 🥒💜)

We’re working hard to get everything restocked soon. It just takes a bit of time as I’m a solo operator doing it all with a lot of love and dirt under my nails! 🌿

Keep an eye on your emails for restock updates and if you’d like to order plants or seeds, visit our website to place an order for pick up or postage.

Thank you for being here and growing with us! 💚

I didn’t get a chance to snap any photos today I was too busy chatting away 😂 But wow, what an amazing day! It was so lovely seeing everyone and finally sharing all the hard work we’ve poured into the garden over the past year. We’re beyond excited (even the kookaburra wanted to join in on the fun!).

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, supported us, and took home a little something from our store 💚 I can’t wait to see what Mandy and Andrew create for the next one!

And of course, a massive thanks to for taking the time to visit all the beautiful gardens around Kalamunda. Still absolutely buzzing from today! 🌿✨
