The distance between your dreams and reality is ACTION!

For us as business owners, we are still very much involved in the day to day running of all our businesses, but it’s been awhile since we’ve visited our Port Hedland operations.
We opened our Marlu Health clinic here in 2023 & it is still growing in leaps & bounds with huge capabilities.

It’s important to remember where our dream all began in the FIFO world & how far we’ve come with our achievements together.

It wasn’t business class flights to get here & it’s certainly not 6-star accomodation either, the Pilbara dirt is far from glamorous and that’s what makes coming back here so awesome & touching base with a dozen staff we see maybe once a year 🙌🏾

Our 3rd company, MARLU HEALTH has just celebrated its 3rd anniversary since we opened the doors.🎈✨🎂

What an incredible journey Marlu Health has had in this short space of time.
We distinctly remember the day before opening, one of our competitors tried to ruin our special day, we were certainly aware of the challenges ahead!

From a clinic who was looking for an occupational health doctor to help us in 2022, to multiple clinics, a hospital, multiple clients & unique, powerful partnerships that put our services & capabilities right at the top of the list in 2025, we are absolutely on track.

Recently recognised by Hancock Iron Ore, alongside our parent company Marlu Resources Group as 2025 Breakthrough Vendors of the Year, we are proud of the progress we have made. 🏆

Thank you for the companies who have stood by us throughout this challenging growth phase, we will only be getting bigger and stronger by the year. ⭐️

Tonight we have won BREAKTHROUGH VENDOR 2025,
Recognition for Marlu Resources Group provision of security at Royhills Gatehouse and provision of Emergency services for shutdowns & at Atlas Iron.
Further to this, Marlu Health were recognised for their provision of skin checks in Perth corporate offices as well as across Atlas Iron and Roy Hill.

Marlu Health turns 2 today!

We have come such a long way since 2022 when we made the bold decision to create our own occupational health clinic.

Prior to my CEO role, I have been passionate about health and wellness as an exercise physiologist for over 20 years, buying my first gym in NZ at the age of 23.

My passion extended into the mining industry where FMG Cloudbreak was where I was able to show case exactly how effective the right health and wellness programmes onsite can actually be- it can be life changing for so many people!

Now, Marlu Health has owned and affiliate clinics throughout WA (26 in total) as well as 340+ affiliate clinics throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Marlu Health has a partnership with the Aegis Health Hospital and is proud to be partners of the first precinct that is able to provide a start to finish suite of injury management services including:

i. Injury triage and classification with 24/7 injury management cover

ii. Admission to inpatient wards if necessary (open in quarter 1, 2025)

iii. Surgical treatment on site with 4 surgical theatres and 2 day procedure suites (open in quarter 2, 2025)

Our Director of medical and health services, Dr Lincoln Luk, is also the Medical Liaison Director at the Aegis Health Hospital and are fostering a relationship to become the first indigenous health provider in Australia with access to private hospital services including full helicopter evacuation and receival services via
Fiona Stanley Hospital Corporate and Site Health.

We currently provide corporate health services including site based skin checks for Roy Hill and Atlas Iron Pty Ltd

With our 4 Occupational Physicians onboard, we are the first indigenous owned health services to have a full suite of occupational physician services for our clients including any offshore and drill rig based services.

One thing I can say for this particular employee, is that when she is representing Marlu, whether that be onsite, offsite or during training, she gives it her absolute best.

Having staff that not only love what they do but have your best interests at heart out on the frontline, what’s not to love about that ?!

This week Marlu Health doctors commenced our Skin Checks programme throughout the Perth Metro and Pilbara Regions.

As a Nyamal Traditional Owner company, we are incredibly proud to be providing this important service out on Nyamal Country.

Alarming statistics show that 2 in 3 Australians will be affected by skin cancer, but early detection can really make a difference to beating this deadly cancer.

As we are at the final stages of our new contract with Atlas Iron Pty Ltd, Alex & I met in person with Katrina Gartrell & Richard Kern today
It was very refreshing to meet like-minded, authentic, passionate people in an industry that is notorious for being difficult to navigate or communicate with.
Thank you for a lovely afternoon chatting & learning where we’ve come from & how far we have progressed, as well as the Atlas merch!
