✨MEET SINEAD✨�One of our incredible Therapy Assistants here at LaunchPod! 🚀�

Sinead has completed an Undergraduate Certificate in Health Science and is currently studying Occupational Therapy. She brings a calm, patient, and adaptable approach to every session, with a strong focus on building genuine, trusting connections with the children and families she supports.�Alongside her studies, Sinead has gained valuable experience supporting a child with autism in a 1:1 capacity. These experiences have shaped her child-centred, empathetic approach and her commitment to helping each child feel confident, capable, and celebrated for who they are.�

Fun fact: Sinead loves getting creative in her spare time and enjoys playing on her Nintendo Switch (yes — Minecraft included! 🎮). She often brings creativity, imagination, and play into her sessions, using games and shared interests as meaningful ways to connect.�We’re so grateful to have Sinead on the LaunchPod team! 💛

Neurodiversity 🌈✨🧠 reminds us that different brains bring different ways of thinking, communicating, and experiencing the world.

Rather than viewing neurological differences as something to fix, we recognise them as natural variations in how human minds work. When we shift from asking “What’s wrong?” to “What support might help?”, we create space for genuine understanding and connection.

Acceptance matters. When neurodivergent individuals feel seen, valued, and supported, they are more likely to feel safe, confident, and able to thrive.

Creating inclusive environments is something we commit to every day! 🚀🌟

Supporting children with Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) often means looking at play through a different lens. 🌱🧠✨

PDA accommodations aim to reduce pressure and increase autonomy. Instead of focusing on compliance, the goal is to lower anxiety and create conditions where the child feels safe, in control, and able to engage.

During play we can check in with a few simple questions:

🌟Autonomy: What choices does the child currently have? Where could choice increase?

🌟Equality: Who holds power? How could the child become the expert?

When play supports autonomy, collaboration, and flexibility, it becomes a powerful way to meet a child’s nervous system where it is. 💛

✨MEET ANNEMI✨��One of our amazing Therapy Assistants here at LaunchPod! 🚀

Currently studying Exercise and Sports Science at Edith Cowan University, Annemi is passionate about helping children and young people feel calm, capable, and confident. She brings a person-centred, relationship-based approach to her sessions, with experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, epilepsy, and complex physical disabilities.

Annemi loves incorporating movement, practical strategies, and meaningful connection into her work, and is known for her calm, organised, and collaborative approach.

Fun fact: She loves sports, the outdoors, beach days, and getting creative with crafts and painting — interests she often brings into sessions to make them fun and engaging. We’re so glad to have Annemi on the team! 💛

✨ MEET MATTHEW ✨

One of our fantastic Therapy Assistants here at LaunchPod! 🚀

Matthew brings a calm, curious, and adventurous energy to every session, supporting children to feel safe, included, and celebrated for who they are. He holds a Diploma in Allied Health Assistance and is currently studying a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, combining hands on experience with a strong understanding of child development and neurodiversity. 💛

Matthew loves using interest based supports such as Minecraft, Lego, board games, and virtual reality to create meaningful opportunities for connection, collaboration, and confidence building. Growing up with a neurodivergent family member has shaped his patient, empathetic, and strengths focused approach. 🌈

Outside of LaunchPod, Matthew enjoys snowboarding, camping, playing sport, and spending time with his dog. Matthew brings patience, creativity, and a strong focus on connection to every child he supports. 🚀
