☕ Thank You for Joining Our Final Coffee Connect of 2025!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us this morning for our final Coffee Connect of the year. It was a meaningful morning filled with learning, conversation, and community connection.

Our topic, “The Call You Never Want – Coroner, Complaints & Corrective Action,” was powerfully presented by James Barr, Clinical Nurse and Owner of Nightingale Home Healthcare.

James guided us through the critical importance of preventative and corrective action, and the responsibilities providers carry when delivering high-intensity supports. It was a valuable reminder that proactive training and best practice aren’t just processes — they’re essential steps in preventing the calls no one ever wants to receive.

Our NSW/ACT/QLD BDM, Cass, had a busy and rewarding week connecting with the community.

🤝 A great catch-up with Gabrielle M. from My Journey Therapy at Building Bridges Network Australia, followed by a productive one-on-one meeting to explore how we can better support people with complex needs.

🌊🏖️ Next stop: Wollongong! Cass delivered education on the new and enteral feed blending, meeting many wonderful dietitians across the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District.

Our Client Relationship Coordinator, Mel, was pleased to attend the recent NDIS Information Session at the Ellenbrook Community Resource Centre, hosted by NDSP Plan Managers, City of Swan and Mission Australia.

This session provided valuable insights into accessing the NDIS, managing NDIS plans, navigating support options, and understanding available NDIS resources — all essential topics for individuals, families, carers, and support professionals working together to deliver the best outcomes. 💛

Mel was grateful for the opportunity to connect with community members and share how Surgical House can support people living with disability through reliable, high-quality healthcare consumables.

🎉 Celebrating Robert Thomas — A Remarkable Career and a Milestone Birthday! 🎉

Recently, Surgical House had the privilege of celebrating not only the retirement of Robert Thomas, Director of Warrick Mark Thomas Surgical, but also his incredible milestone 80th birthday.

For many years, Robert has supported the WA community through his Subiaco store, providing a range of healthcare products including compression garments, surgical stockings, corsets and belts with genuine care and expertise. His reputation for outstanding customer service is well-known — so much so that he spent his 80th birthday right here at Surgical House, personally guiding our Customer Care team through the handover to ensure his clients will continue to receive the highest standard of care. 💛

We’re honoured that Robert has entrusted Surgical House to look after his valued clients. We will proudly continue his legacy with the Jobst range of compression stockings and the Therapeutic Pillow Australia range of therapeutic pillows he has championed for so long.

Of course, we made sure he paused for a well-deserved celebratory morning tea! 🎂☕

🌞 What a day!

Perth absolutely turned on the sunshine for the annual Have a Go Day at Burswood Park — and we loved every minute of it! 💛

From rickshaw rides, dancing, live bands, guide dogs, classic cars and yes… even a horse! 🐴 — there was something for everyone.

Our 50’s Rock ‘n’ Roll theme was a hit 🎶✨ Jukebox pumping, Pink Ladies and Grease vibes — we had a blast chatting with so many seniors about how Surgical House can support their healthcare needs as they age.

🍦 The icy poles were very appreciated in the warm weather, and Nestlé’s home-baked Sustagen cookies didn’t last long! 😋

✨ Event Wrap-Up: Nutrition in Aged Care Dinner Workshop ✨

Last night, we were delighted to host a dinner workshop in our Osborne Park Training Hub in partnership with Nutricia.

The session focused on the role of nutrition in aged care — particularly for home care clients — exploring practical ways to support those experiencing malnutrition and dementia. Nutricia’s specialised product Souvenaid sparked valuable discussion around its role in cognitive health and dementia care.

🏌️‍♂️ What a day for a great cause! ⛳

Surgical House was proud to support the Pathways to Care Charity Golf Day today — all in support of the Australian Sliders wheelchair hockey team on their journey to the World Championships in Finland!

Every swing, every laugh, and every raffle ticket sold helped raise funds to get these incredible athletes overseas — covering essential travel, equipment and competition costs, so they can take on the world with confidence. 🌏💪

Our VIC/TAS BDM, Jade, hit the course with Sliders team member Sean. And then joined DJ Vinny on the decks afterwards to spin some tunes and belt out a few country classics. 🎤🎶

Golf + live DJ + good vibes = the perfect combo.

A massive thank you to everyone who played, donated, cheered, and helped make today so special. This community shows up — and it shows. ❤️
